Dastardly Cornell. "2 words"
Nope, too late, the contest has ended.

No!!!! it is perfect though.....

It would appear Cornell is being cowardly and malicious by just deferring everyone. Thus, dastardly.
If they wanted to reject or accept them they should have just done it "cowards" and they know how this will make the applicants "malicious."

Here's the problem with "Dastardly Cornell": For that to be an accurate description, we would have to know the intention behind the decisions so far. Counter-intuitive is better since it describes something we actually know about the process, and can all agree with.

(JK i like Dastardly Cornell, just trying to argue for my submission :) )

Someone should anonymously email this thread to the admissions office.

wicked idea but let's resist the urge to enrage Cornell even further...cause they're clearly super pissed about something!

I did some skimming, so excuse me if I missed anything. Did anyone receive a letter today (Monday)?

Pure and simple speculation! But I DID base it off the trend from last year. I'm guessing they used Monday (today) to go over their list one last time before sending out DRs. It's unlikely that they stack up the apps and then send the Ds out as soon as the stack is big enough. I'll bet they go over those apps one last time to make sure they are confident in who they chose (and to comb out any mistakes). That seems like a Monday chore if you ask me...

Mrs: I think the real question is, will they be deferrals or acceptances?

I guess no movement at this point can be seen as a good thing... Has anyone actually been rejected at Cornell this cycle?

This guy was above both 75th percentiles and still got deferred. I think there isn't a clear pattern to what they're doing. Its probably a mix of YPing, and holding out candidates they aren't completely sure would be competitive amongst the entire pool.

Maybe they saw the guy's name and thought he was an anti-Cornell troll?

Wouldn't it make him an anti-GULC troll?

Everyone deferred
Even way above median
Mayhem then ensues
zOMG one syllable over a lovely haiku.

Just pronounce median with 2 syllables and you're good.
