Mail just came. Nothing from G-Town. 12/1 DR. Guess we are rejected/waitlisted. Can't believe I actually had my hopes up that it might still be an acceptance.

From Amazon confirming the purchase of some textbooks! Sorry for the scare, lol, but Geez, $212 + shipping for two books? Sorry, that was mean...Philaw wrote: 12/01...just got the email....

I don't even want to go to DC anymore. Toying with people's affections is so not cool.

I'm pretty sure that by the end of today, it won't be a joke. Its been 3 days and no mail from G-Town, so I can't see it being anything but a rejection/WL for me at least.Philaw wrote:From Amazon confirming the purchase of some textbooks! We probably will have to wait till Monday *damn it* but it's the holiday season and getting a letter to detroit from lansing takes 2+ days so from dc to here is probably 5+

That's not how the postal system works.robin600 wrote:We probably will have to wait till Monday *damn it* but it's the holiday season and getting a letter to detroit from lansing takes 2+ days so from dc to here is probably 5+
Letter-sized mail within the continental U.S usually takes between one (if it's local) to four days. Anecdotal evidence: I've mailed/received mail from people in California, Georgia, and New Jersey and it's always been two, maybe three days from D.C.
Other evidence:
You can calculate domestic postage and estimated delivery time on the USPS website here --LinkRemoved--. GULC's zip code is 20001.
The actual amount of time might differ based on the efficiency of the post office branches, plus other factors (holiday season, etc)
