Most of the people they're letting in are near auto-admits for NYU and Berkeley, iuno about others.
eff that, I'm close to auto at NYU and I'm doing this here ish.
Seriously. I got into NYU but Penn is higher on my list... and with money it would move close to the top.

I mean it's not like NYU is so crazy better than Penn that it would be unreasonable to pick one over the other. It's not NYU vs. UConn or Cornell or anything. Even for the rankings obsessed, it's only a few spots.

I have been deceived by trolls. I thought popular sentiment was in the other direction, that's all.

I'm definitely considering attending! I think that the only things that will stop me are Columbia/Harvard or a big scholarship at Northwestern. No offense taken though :)

Iuno. People hate on Penn but look at penn v. nyu:

Median: 3.8/170 (P) v. 3.7/171 (N)

Tuition and Fees: ~ 46k (P) v. ~44k (N)

Student to Faculty Ratio: 11.6:1 (P) v. 9.6:1 (N)

Class Size 250 (P) v. 448 (N)

Employment: 97.2 (P) v. 98.2 (N)

Bar Passage (NY): 94.4 (P) v. 95.79 (N)

Not exactly worlds apart, and people do have geographical preferences.

I think you still have hope. It is weird that they are accepting a ton of RD people first, but they already deferred/rejected a number of people with competitive numbers.

The impression I get here is not only very pro-NYC, but also that CCN is on some other level of awesomeness compared to everything below T6.

That isn't true? Especially w/ regard to CC?

For me, Penn is leagues above CCN.

TLS is very NYC-centric, for sure. And I'm not saying T6 schools aren't great. Just that there isn't some huuuuge gap where it is nonsensical to take a MVP over a CCN. I mean, Penn graduates 15% into clerkships, where NYU only graduates 8.3%, and Penn is really the only big school in the 3rd circuit CoA. That is worth something IMO.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
