True. That's what might have gotten those three off of it.rondemarino wrote:At least there's always retaking the LSAT and the chance of bumping oneself off the WL.Helmholtz wrote:"WL -> acceptance"s at UCLA are very rare (only three of them on LSN last year; all of them with around your GPA, but 2-5 points higher on the LSAT). You can't take it more than 3 times in 2 year period if i remember correctly...hellogoodbye1 wrote:
no. should i retake in february? i've already taken it 3 times though.......
but for MBA's you can take GMATs as many times as you want... how fair is that...

Yeah, but not obsessively. Worst case, I'll have to accept splitter love from the lower T14 or WUSTL. I'm ok with either.finalaspects wrote:hey rondemarino,

No, not saying you should or shouldn't retake. I was just thinking that if you put that you were retaking the LSAT, that might have been what got you wait listed. If anything, I think you are better off since they obviously didn't wait list you with the intention of seeing how you did on the retake.
I think the best you can do now is keep them updated with LOCIs, new LORs, etc. Good luck!

I went complete on 11/17 RD. Did anyone else that's RD hear back around the same time frame? I keep checking my email and staring at my phone. Nothing.

I'm an RD that's been complete for about four more weeks than you. Haven't heard anything. Numbers are good for them. Not holding my breath.hopefulincal wrote:I went complete on 11/17 RD. No. The best s/he can do is take LSAT, score a 169.cougarlive wrote:hellogoodbye1 wrote:no. should i retake in february? i've already taken it 3 times though.......cougarlive wrote:hellogoodbye1 wrote:i just got waitlisted

You're probably an auto-admit at WUSTL and have a shot at USC. Not exactly bad options.rondemarino wrote:Yeah, but not obsessively. Worst case, I'll have to accept splitter love from the lower T14 or WUSTL. I'm ok with either.finalaspects wrote:hey rondemarino,

Yeah--if s/he can get a school to give them permission to retake the lsat for feb, and find a way to score 7 points higher than they have ever scored (on an actual exam) after sitting for the LSAT 3 times--than you are right. Might as well make it a 170 though.

Re: UCLA?
For those that have been accepted already...I got accepted via phone call on 11/24 but haven't gotten the packet in the mail yet. For those that were accepted by phone and then got the packet in the mail, how long after did it come? I'm in LA, so I thought I would have gotten it by now, but I guess not.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
