LSN is usually updated late. your best bet is someone who checks from this forum and states they are DR as well.

if i had to guess i think your chances are pretty good. quick turn around usually means either easy rejection or easy acceptance. considering you're a URM i think its an acceptance.

Yeah I guess I figured as much. Thanks for the support aspects...I'll be posting the decision here as soon as I get it. Fingers crossed!

Someone please help...I am going crazy and can't concentrate in class.
I'm really interested in your decision. I have the same LSAT but a way lower GPA and I'm also Mexican-American. Good luck!

So I gave in and called. Guy who answered the phone wasn't incredibly helpful. Said decisions were mailed and even for me (I'm in the Bay Area) he said it could take up to 2 weeks. I guess I have to wait patiently...

Any other way of figuring out whether I am in? USC would definitely be my best admit, although I do still have a lot of applications out.

Hope it works out for you too Jolie! When did you go complete?

Edit: Never mind, I just saw you went complete in November. I'm praying you hear some good news...suerte.

My status checker just went to DF. I got the application received email on 1/11, can't remember exactly when I went UR. I live abroad, so I'm expecting a wait. Is there an admitted students site or any other way to check?

Gracias! :D How is USC? I've been scouring the web for pictures of the campus but I can't find much. How's the atmosphere there? Have you checked out Gould at all while you've been there?

Just went Decision Finalized. Is there anyway to get a clue as to the decision?

not that i know. i don't think there is any. usually they won't even mail the letter for another 2-3 days. and then it'll take a week or two to arrive.

best way to get a hint is to compare your stats with others who went DF on the same day. its usually either all acceptances or all rejections or all waitlists.

Well I'm biased since I grew up around USC hence the "ghetto" does not scare me. Don't get me wrong it can be a bit unsafe sometimes, but nothing to lose sleep over. The campus is beautiful. I have never visited Gould, though. I was a commuter so I can't attest to the atmosphere too much. For the most part people are friendly and very smart, granted I'm talking about the undergrads. Geez I'm so not helping here....nonetheless I'm sure you and I both would love to be law students there. Trojan pride is like no other

3.9, 170? I wouldn't be worried if I were you, and best of luck.

Sounds reasonable. I've grown up in the San Francisco/Oakland area so the stuff about USC being in the "ghetto" isn't necessarily frightening. And I am sure I would love to be a Trojan...although I may have a slight conflict of interest...GO BEARS

jonnodotsg wrote:Based on LSN statistics, I'm expecting applicants with an LSAT score of 166, myself being such an applicant, to endure a curiously long wait. Out of 33 applications, only 2 have been accepted thus far, both being URM. 167-ers, on the other hand, appear to be enjoying a bounty of acceptances.

I can only come up with 2 guesses. First guess, beyond auto-admits and auto-rejects, they are really going according to index, and 166-ers will, hopefully, be the next batch they look at after they're done with the 167-ers. My second guess would be that with 166-ers straddling the median, they're waiting us out to see how many of the more prime admittances actually decide to attend, and then start to send out "filler" acceptances as the end of the cycle draws nearer. Yikes!
167 was USC's median and 75% in lsats. 167 with good GPA's are almost all auto-accepts. and they will most likely try to pull in 168+ because UCLA is pulling away with 168 being their median last year.

USC isn't known to accept splitters but i hope they will try and increase their LSAT this year. that and irvine a new law school had better median stats. 167 LSAT but better GPA median.
