Splitters Unite! - Official 2010 Splitter Thread

Splitters are 170+ LSAT and sub-3.3 GPA applicants.

Modeled on last cycle's thread, this will serve as a basis for splitters to share the acceptances, WLs, and rejections. And so we can all wallow in each others misery as we always have the most torturous of cycles. Good luck all and get those apps in early!

FWIW, the following are the traditionally splitter-friendly T25 schools: UVA, NU (w/ WE), GULC, IU-Bloomington, WUSTL, UIUC.

I'm in.

2.8 in engineering, 176 LSAT. 2 years W/E when I'd start school

I've got a job so I'm applying from Columbia on down (minus Berkeley) to Georgetown, plus WUSTL and UIUC. But I won't got to UIUC or WUSTL without significant money, which I won't get.

CCN is a pipe dream, but I have fee waivers so what the hell. Even MVP is extremely unlikely.

I have a feeling I'm going to be riding NU's waitlist but hopefully I'll get off it.

Not a lot of those. I'd apply to all T14's if I were you and see what sticks.

2.95/177, I'll be applying everywhere in the T20 on the east coast minus HY, plus a few safeties.

Just realized yesterday that I hadn't signed up for the CRS, so no schools could receive my information. Whoops. Anyway, got my first fee waiver e-mail today. Hopefully there will be many more to come.

Hadn't heard UVA described as splitter-friendly before. That would be sweeeeeet.

174/3.5 (mutiple LSAT scores too)

Applied from Stanford through Vandy, minus GULC and UCLA.

Hoping for either one of CCN or MVP with money.
Burn the well rounded applicant at the stake.

^ Thanks. That's the plan. :)

Sometimes I find it difficult to believe that my performance on one day, although it's one I am proud of, might mean as much if not more than my performance over four years in UG...I was specifically wondering why a school would take someone with my stats over, say, a 171/3.7. So I did a little research and found this LSAC's website that there is a correlation of .00 - .56 (median .33) for GPA and 1L grades and .27 - .65 (media .46) for LSAT and a 1L grades. Have there been any other studies like this done outside of LSAC? I'm just curious about the LSAT as an indicator of...anything (other than being good at taking the LSAT).
