Anyone have any idea what "evening" means in NU-speak? Should I panic starting now until I wake up tomorrow morning? Have previous decision batches gone out at a certain time?

i got my hold email at about 7:00PM EST. that has passed. but you never know... don't panic, tweek

Also- I tweeted back at them, asking if it is for held JD applicants. i wonder if they'll see + reply... remains to be seen.

I was rejected . I knew it was a long shot, so I'm not surprised. GL to everyone on hold and on the waitlist.

Nope, my application status was still at complete. My LSAT is a couple of points below the median, and my GPA sucks.

For what it's worth, two separate folks at the NWern Admissions Office have said that those on hold should hear "within the next few days" and "by May 1st." That's not to say it won't be the longest three days...

The guy on the phone said "within the next 2-3 weeks" , but he might have just been giving a generic time-frame.

Last year's NU hold thread seemed to get results at the very end of April (4/27 actually). I'm just hoping for a definitive answer. I'd honestly rather hear "no" than get waitlisted at this point.

the TLSer who was accepted last wednesday was given until the end of this week to respond, i believe. but that corresponds with the regular seat deposit deadline, which we're certain to miss at this point. couldn't find anything on last year's thread about this.

I know that I have no room to complain, since I've only been on hold since 3/25, but STILL! This is killing me. I got into Cornell yesterday, and I'm thiiiiiiiis close to giving up all hope for NU and GULC (SPWL) and going all gung-ho for winters in Ithaca, but...I just can't. 3.85/168/1 yr WE (education), thought my interview w/ a 3L went great, but...ugh.

I love you, Northwestern! I'll wear your goofy Barney-purple sweatshirt every day for the rest of my life if you'll just let me in!

I'll give you a point from my LSAT if I can have 0.2 from your GPA. Sound good?

i'll trade a point from my lsat in exchange for a great soft since it seems many of the hold people have pretty similar numbers.
