Nope, my application status was still at complete. My LSAT is a couple of points below the median, and my GPA sucks.MirandaHobbes wrote:sorry to hear that, thirteen? were you on hold?

For what it's worth, two separate folks at the NWern Admissions Office have said that those on hold should hear "within the next few days" and "by May 1st." That's not to say it won't be the longest three days...
Good luck everyone.

The guy on the phone said "within the next 2-3 weeks" , but he might have just been giving a generic time-frame.
I hope you're right!

Last year's NU hold thread seemed to get results at the very end of April (4/27 actually). I'm just hoping for a definitive answer. I'd honestly rather hear "no" than get waitlisted at this point.AdamatUCF wrote:sinemetu wrote:For what it's worth, two separate folks at the NWern Admissions Office have said that those on hold should hear "within the next few days" and "by May 1st." Not offended in the least. I'm just glad I added something worthwhile to the discussion.MirandaHobbes wrote:

Does anyone know -- from experience preferably -- how long we'll have to make the deposit, if admitted?

Re: Northwestern 2010
the TLSer who was accepted last wednesday was given until the end of this week to respond, i believe. but that corresponds with the regular seat deposit deadline, which we're certain to miss at this point. couldn't find anything on last year's thread about this.autarkh wrote:Does anyone know -- from experience preferably -- how long we'll have to make the deposit, if admitted?

Hmm...I think I need more than one point-- maybe we can get another couple of people in on this and really make it worth our whiles. Any takers?AdamatUCF wrote:I'll give you a point from my LSAT if I can have 0.2 from your GPA. I got into Cornell yesterday, and I'm thiiiiiiiis close to giving up all hope for NU and GULC (SPWL) and going all gung-ho for winters in Ithaca, but...I just can't. 3.85/168/1 yr WE (education), thought my interview w/ a 3L went great, but...ugh.
I love you, Northwestern! I'll wear your goofy Barney-purple sweatshirt every day for the rest of my life if you'll just let me in!

i'll trade a point from my lsat in exchange for a great soft since it seems many of the hold people have pretty similar numbers.MusicNutMeggie wrote:Hmm...I think I need more than one point-- maybe we can get another couple of people in on this and really make it worth our whiles. I'll trade one of my 3 years of work experience to bolster my soggy 2.85 GPA. Maybe a year of WE and 1-2 points off a 172. Takers?MirandaHobbes wrote:i'll trade a point from my lsat in exchange for a great soft since it seems many of the hold people have pretty similar numbers.MusicNutMeggie wrote:Hmm...I think I need more than one point-- maybe we can get another couple of people in on this and really make it worth our whiles. Wait, is Miranda the one doing the JD-PhD? Maybe that's the hold up. It's fully funded, isn't it?

i am. gosh, i hope funding doesn't send me to the dingsville. at any rate, i'm already working on a northwestern letter for the ding bar thread. ...though i can't seem to come up with anything particularly mean to say. zingers about the color purple, notwithstanding.NayBoer wrote:Wait, is Miranda the one doing the JD-PhD?
