Re: Northwestern 2010
I submitted and am complete according to their status checker as of 1/25. Their status checker says to expect to hear within 8 weeks, however when I called I was given the vague "you'll hear in the next couple of weeks" response. Who else has been waiting 8+ weeks (e.g. 1/25 or earlier) without any news? For people who have recently gotten news, how long did it take?

1) Getting an undergrad degree in Elementary Education, when it became obvious soon after graduation that teaching wasn't for me.
2) Not applying myself whatsoever until sophomore year in undergrad, effectively tanking my GPA (what is a 3.6 SHOULD have been a 3.8+)
3) Losing my job in Illinois' terrible economic issue, where social services have taken a tremendous hit - I knew it was coming, and all of the company failing signs were there. I went down with the ship until they canned my position.
4) Being unable to afford a second LSAT. I tanked on the first, considering my PTs (scored a 167 when PT averages were 171, lowest PT was a 169).
All of this ensured that I have a very small chance, if any, at NU. I'm aware of it, but there's nothing I can do at this point. I do have solid options ($$ at Illinois being the best right now), but there are a lot of what if scenarios for me. In the meantime, as I wait for my answer, I'll just hope that my management social work employment, with it's accompanying interesting PS, is enough to pique an admissions officer's interest. We'll see.
