Everyone knows you're already at Berkeley, bilbo.

As for V6, I was thinking more along the lines of a public execution ala Robespierre-era French Revolution:

Now it has been 8 years since I studied any type of history, but, wasn't Robespierre also executed by guillotine. So after we finish V6, are we going to be calling for your head?

Yes he was. No, I wasn't comparing myself to Robespierre. I was just saying V6 should be offed as if he were a ne'er do well during the Reign of Terror.

I think being four-and-quartered (this) would probably be the most painful death imaginable.

I would say you have until about 7pm PST to redeem yourself...or else the angry masses will be clamoring for vengeance.

My bad, did I say acceptances should start coming out on November 24th? I meant April 24th.

From my very unscientific perusal of LSN, it looks like people found out later in the day on 11/25 last year. V6, there's hope left for you...

Yeah, I remember decisions coming out around this time last year. Or starting to. I was in on the 18th and didn't hear for sure until the 28th of Feb.

Is it the general case with Berkeley that your application goes "under review" shortly after it is submitted or did I luckily get mine into the first round of considerations? (I know it's the former, but I hope it's the latter haha)

Nah, it can be under review for a few weeks or months (but they'll tell you if you got to faculty committee). So in my case, I got an email in mid-Jan telling me I had been sent to faculty committee and would have a solid decision by the end of Feb, which is about when I got it.

Yeah it seems to go under review pretty quickly after going complete. There was a batch that went UR on 10/19, then 10/22, then 11/02. The first two groups are probably definitely in the first batch, the 11/02 (mine) is probably not...but maybe.

That is, if there even is a wave before Thanksgiving. Void....
I love when people say stuff like this. "I can guarantee that I will maybe be there..."

When will they tell you you've been sent to committee? I've been under review for 5 weeks now (along with all the other 10/19 people).

I think the dean looks at the app before the committee. So you won't hear that you were sent to committee until the Dean makes the first set of decisions, and only if they decide the app needs additional committee review. I think that is how it works anyways
