So i got the call from SMU today and i got in....

The problem is i got in PT. I don't know why i checked PT and FT but i'd never go PT, especially considering all the acceptances i've gotten thus far. That being said, if i had gotten in FT at SMU, it seriously consider it. Should I email them asking them to consider me for FT??

It's worth a shot? But worse case, if you decide to attend, you can always try to transfer to FT. Maybe you should schedule a time to discuss this with the admissions office. Maybe let them know that your situation has changed (for X reason) and you'd prefer FT.

I would assume if you checked off both, they considered you for both. That said, I'm surprised with a 3.6/162 you only got in PT. You sure you didn't only check PT? I'm not sure what you can do at this point.

I would assume if you checked off both, they considered you for both. That said, I'm surprised with a 3.6/162 you only got in PT. You sure you didn't only check PT? I'm not sure what you can do at this point.

All schools with part-time programs will probably try to raise their medians this year, now that PT numbers count.

I don't think there was mention of ec2xs receiving a scholarship. Ec2xs said "WITH a good scholarship, I'll probably..."

That makes sense, but it seems like her numbers are good enough for FT (based on some of the others on LSN). I wonder if applying to both PT and FT actually does a disservice this year, with SMU's attempts to raise PT medians.

I'm sorry, maybe I wrote that awkwardly. Provided I get a good scholarship, I'll probably be heading to SMU. She said information would come in at least a week. FWIW the same representative that called me told me that I should be expecting at least 10k a year at a law fair a few months back.

that really sucks. i don't know why they did or what they can do, my only suggestion would be to call them ASAP. it seems like they're only doing a limited amount of acceptances right now, so you should hurry before they fill up

Congrats all. So, it seems like the theory of 1/26=in and 1/27=out is correct. Bad news for me, but great news for most of you! SMU is a great school

have faith, generalizations are too easy to make on this site. i'm 1/26 and haven't received a phone call. keep your chin up!

I got the phone call!

Scholarship decisions will be made in the next "3 to 4 to 5 weeks" i was told so who knows when we will find out.

Let the new waiting game begin.
