NYU definitely has unnamed deans scholarships that you don't need to apply for

It probably won't work. Last year's admits were only able to log in around late January. Worth a shot though....

Re: NYU 2010
People - CHILL.
don't freak out just because many of the people who posted their results on LSN and on this board all have high GPA/low LSAT. This is not a "representative sample" - it's a self-selecting group of people who decided to report their results. I am sure it's a fraction of all the real applicants.
I am surprised that after studying for and taking the LSAT, how many of us have forgotten about that!
Don't jump to conclusions just yet!

I'm indulging my neurosis here, but has anyone in Florida heard? Have most acceptances been in geographically somewhat close to NYC (as in, some decisions from this wave are still in the mail)?

Also in Florida, and have been paying a lot of attention to where people have been from.. doesn't seem anyone in Florida has heard, although one person from CA heard yesterday I believe. According to USPS.com it would take 3 days for First Class Mail to go from NYU's zip to my area of Florida...js87 wrote:I'm indulging my neurosis here, but has anyone in Florida heard? So if there are any letters on their way to us, looks like Monday could be a great day

It is actually for calculating postage, but it will also tell you the estimated delivery time... the only thing is you have to put in a future date, so I picked Monday 12/7, gave me a 3 Day estimate under "Speed" for First-Class Mail Letter

Sorry if this was already discussed (long thread), but did anyone hear who hadn't yet received a completion email? I have yet to receive one, even though I applied 10/27, and am wondering if I should maybe consider calling them soon to check in...

(if we called, you think they would let us know if we have been accepted? )

Yeah when I said "check in" I meant just to make sure it was completed and all...hahaamidea wrote:+1. i think there are a lot of us in the boat but i think if you call they just tell you it's completed and that's that. why are they so disorganized?caved wrote:Sorry if this was already discussed (long thread), but did anyone hear who hadn't yet received a completion email? hey everyone,so I was wondering, what's the consensus here, is NYU a really # centered school or are they like Berkley where they might randomly accept you because of softs even with lower #?

No, not unless I got one of the Environmental Law Scholars Program scholarships I applied for.VoidSix wrote:Crack, would you consider NYU over Berktown?
I'm from NYC. I don't particularly want to go to law school there, and I don't really want to work there after graduation. (Anathema on this board I know.)
Would you?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
