Really hoping for some phone calls today, although if I had to guess -- if they are coming they come tomorrow. If I don't get a call with my updated review date, I think I will let go of the dream on this one.

Still not under review? Anyone else in the same boat? They've had all the parts of my app except my Dec LSAT since early november.

My status says "Waitlisted: Notified by email 12/28/09"

Any idea when to expect some movement?

Looking at LSN info for the past couple cycles, Chicago seems to follow a pretty rigid chronological order when it comes to timing of decisions. The big batch for early November submitters hasn't been until early February, and late November/December people shouldn't expect to hear anything until late February/early March. This is consistent with the pattern we've seen with the first batch this year, with all of the admits (to my knowledge) having submitted prior to November.

This probably isn't the news most of you want to hear, but I thought it was worth pointing out--especially since many other places (including CLS and NYU) are notably less predictable when it comes to decision dates correlating with dates of submission.

I'm still stuck at complete 11/24. Is there even an UR status or is it just complete-->decision?

Complete 11/20 here. As far as I can tell, people with early-mid Nov complete dates have already gone UR, so hopefully we'll be soon. The UR date has to update again before a decision is made, so it's going to be a while.

I have been watching how they move people to UR very closely because I was waiting for a while... I noticed that they basically go week by week. I went UR 1/15 from complete 11/13. My guess is that by tomorrow 11/14-11/20 ish will go UR, then by next Friday 11/21-11/28 ish will be UR...

This was around when the Chicago calls were going out last week...all seems to be silent today, however.

They posted the day before the last batch on Twitter that they were going to make calls.

Nothing on Twitter about calls going out so I wouldn't expect anything.

I just spoke to the Admissions office. The nice lady informed me that the Admissions Committee just requested the files which went complete in early November. She implied they are going chronologically, so anyone with a December complete date (myself included) shouldn't expect to hear back in the very near future. It seems like they are quite behind, but hopefully they pick up the pace.

So were they lying when they said my early November file went under review in late December on my status update?

You will always go UR twice. The first UR goes to.. ???? but the second one goes to the admissions committee. After the admissions committee reviews it, a decision is made. I think people ONLY got accepted after being UR twice. I'm guessing a quick turnaround from the first UR to the second UR = relatively auto-admit. But I do not know for sure.

It would be really nice if this proves true. 8)

(Quick turnaround between UR dates here, but no reason to think I'm an auto-admit. Wondering if my phone will ring sure is lowering my productivity this week, though.)

(That part was more for my own sake as i had a quick turnaround on URs.. haha I need all the confidence I can get)

I will be relatively shocked if there are any calls this week. Relax.

That pretty much lines up with the data on LSN. They do seem slightly behind this year (by about a week or so), but moving at about the same pace as previous years. If they follow the same pattern as last year, we'll see the next big wave in ~2 weeks with a few acceptances sprinkled in beforehand.
