Congrats on the acceptances!

Quick question regarding Duke's PS because it seems really specific. Did everyone who was admitted write about their "personal or career ambitions" or did you stick with your general personal statement?

I wanted to apply soon but I wasn't sure whether I had to draft a whole new PS this weeknd. Hoping I won't have to, but if Duke says write, I'll write.

I debated writing a tailored PS, but ended up just using my general one. (Which doesn't really mention personal or career ambitions at all.)

I inserted a single extra line about entering the judiciary - that was it.

So I got the email last night, but today the enrollment deposit fee disappeared from the status checker. Please tell me how ridiculous I am to be paranoid about this!

Maybe it means that they like you soooooo... much that they're waiving all of your deposits, fees, and tuition.

I just submitted my application (RD) and, I must say, I see what you guys are talking about with the professionalism of Duke's admissions office. Already got the status checker email and it's been all of about an hour. Columbia and NYU on the other hand...

You know that with CLS you have to create a "My Columbia" account. I didn't realize that and was waiting around for an e-mail from them, but created an account and saw I was complete a while back.

Well, don't I feel stupid now. I've read about the personalized account but I thought only was accessible after the "Your application is complete" email.

Thanks a lot. I went complete on Oct 28, went under review on Nov 3, and heard back about 9pm last night. So that's about 9 days on my count.
