(easier) Waitlist Tracking Thread

Post by Boyk1182 » Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:28 pm

I'm making this thread to track any school that has accepted anyone from their waitlist. They'll be green if anyone's been accepted. Let me know if you have and I'll just update this post, and give me the date you got accepted or whatever else worth adding...

Just off the top of my head, some of my friends have recently been WL/IN at: Cardozo, Brooklyn, BC, Berkeley, Northwestern, and Vandy. I see that my own adventures have been noted.

There are certainly more. I'll think of them...

Ha, yea I put Fordham actually because of that thread you made a while back...
I'll do a little research at lunch tomorrow or something to find some more schools to add to this list from the forum and LSN.

I would be extremely curious to know whether the timing this year, the loaded waitlists, etc. are actually a product of so many people applying to law school or whether this is actually pretty typical of every year. There are so many on waitlists...and so many with fees due. Law schools are really going to make out financially with all of their acceptees paying deposits, only to end up getting accepted off waitlists elsewhere and losing that deposit...then making deposits at the school they had been wl at and hoping to get into. This seems like madness to me.

YLS has pulled people off the WL as well.

T14s that have had wl action - YLS, HLS, Chicago, Berkeley, Northwestern, Cornell (if you count 'reserve' as wl) and G'town.

Just from lurking around here and talking to some non-TLS friends, I can tell you that UC Davis, Loyola LA and Lewis and Clark have began taking people off the wait list.

I like this thread...the more schools that begin taking people off of wait lists, the more hope I have that the schools at which I am waitlisted will begin taking people...hopefully me!

great thread! Would it be too much an exercise to update with most recent date accepted off waitlists and the form of communication? i.e. phone call, snail mail, email, all etc

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
