I don't think there's been a thread on this yet, but it seems as though the rest of the world was placed on Chapman's and Southwestern's waitlists.
Go!

Thank you for creating this! I am currently waiting very patiently on both lists... I'm starting to stress about loans for my back-up school. I have to apply for them at the end of June for them to certified in time for fall.

Loyola. I am from LA so and live here already so it saves me a move to Orange County. It was a hard choice though. I am friends with a former instructor at Chapman who said nothing but wonderful things about the school and commitment of the faculty.

I live in West Hollywood so its only a 10 minute drive to Loyola. Sadly no money. I applied well past their deadline. I feel fortunate just to have gotten in.

Its really annoying how they tell you that you could get a response the day before class. What about books , living conditions etc. Does anyone know if your supposed to do anything special for FAFSA? I already put Chapman and Santa Clara down as the schools i want to go to for FAFSA, but i don't know if that is enough.

You should be fine. I talked to Chapman's financial aid about this and was told that they can easily take care of it as long as you've already submitted your FAFSA and added their school code.
No clue about Santa Clara though...

So has anyone heard anything from either waitlists?
Southwestern said they only keep a handful after mid-July so most of us should be hearing around then. They also mentioned sending a letter of intent -- I'm not sure what that is exactly but it sounded like intent to enroll if accepted.
All I got from Chapman was that they review files and make decisions on a weekly basis. Scholarship wise, as expected, we're all pretty much SOL.
Anyone else? Share the wealth please

I received a call from SW on Monday basically saying they are contacting their top waitlisted candidates to see if they are still interested and they are going to present my file to the review committee. I got the impression that I would be accepted.

Hmm I never got contacted to see if I was still interested (in Chapman), however I must have been at the top of the list because I got the "big envelope" yesterday admitting me. Just turned in my seat deposit in by hand and have been told my loan situation already. So I guess that people are being let in off the waitlist after all! I was worried, I heard from Lewis and Clark (which I didnt apply to or anything, I just toured the campus) that not a single person was accepted off the waitlist this year

Alright, I didn't want to say anything until I had the acceptance letter in my hands but I'm in @ Chapman!!!
I also wasn't contacted or anything prior to the acceptance. I was accepted early last week and I found out via status checker. Woohoo!
Good luck to everyone still waiting

I, too, am on the Chapman & Southwestern waitlists. I'm not sure if I feel relieved or nervous knowing that many others share the same status...
I passed up a lower-end school that offered a 5-figure scholarship, in hopes that Chapman gives me a thumbs up-ski
