Top Law Schools

The fortune in my fortune cookie today read that "soon you will be sitting on top of the world." I raced back from lunch to check my email accounts only to an email notice that my water bill is overdue. To think that I am actually trying to find faith in fortune cookies ...

the problem with sitting on top of the world is that it's a long way down, and that's the only place you can go...

Might I suggest writing yet another LOCI but taping the aforementioned fortune to the bottom of it with a simple, "I suggest you act fast Northwestern. When this Eastern prophecy comes to pass, you're going to want to have made the right choice and pulled the trigger on a winner. I am your winner."

It would certainly be well remembered. I have narrowed down my WL targets to 5 schools. I will have to think it over, but I am very tempted to send such an LOCI to one of these schools (a school that I would absolutely attend if not offered admission to any of the others). I think that this can be done in a very clever and creative way.

Just got an acceptance email (off the waitlist), too. Didn't write a LOCI, no "Why NU" essay, and actually said in my PS that, "Living in Chicago for a winter taught me that certain climates aren't fit for human habitation." I thought for sure that'd disqualify me!

Anyone know what's going on with their financial aid? Any still available?

I actually had a recent fortune cookie fortune say that I'd make a good lawyer. I was contemplating sending that in with a LOCI...

Ahhh, so the NU>>>GULC is more personal. Chicago is a very fun city, but I'm just a little too warm-blooded for it there. Great school, great city (just get plenty of really warm clothes if you don't already have them), and summers there are a blast (there are multiple street festivals every single weekend of the summer). Enjoy it!

Ha, just a bit more personal. Almost everyone I've talked to has opted for NU in the head to head match up. I'm sure you'll get along great at GULC. Good luck!

I really want to see rayiner and SBL post about being lifted off the WL. Doesn't NU know they are supposed to do this so that I can have them both in Chicago?
