Alright, withdrawal email sent (with one noted shout-out). Hope it helps someone here! G'luck, gang...

You are a good man.

What is this "shout-out" you are referring to?

I'm actually a woman, but you'd have no way of knowing that, so no worries... and after thanking him for the opportunity, I mentioned that I wanted to email in my withdrawal so the spot could be immediately freed up for someone waiting because I knew from a message board that there were many people who really want the spot.

Just an idea, but now might be a great time to start a thread entitled "Why I love Northwestern Law, would be a great fit there, and should be granted admission from the waitlist." Be sure to include some hints so they can identify you. After all, if NU Law admissions is on Twitter, why wouldn't they be on here, too?

They definitely are on here. Or at least the twitter person. The number of times that the twitter post is a direct response to the rash of neuroticism on this board is too eerily uncanny not to be related.

So, my application was complete in December and my waitlist letter was JUST posted on the status check site. I think it's something like 5 or 6 days to get the waitlist for back in. Was that a joke? So much for an 8 week (or even close to an 8 week) turnaround for a decision.

you were probably placed on-hold (waiting for final decision) prior to the final decision of WL.

how it progressed with me at least

Possible... only I had no correspondence from them since December. If I was placed on hold, they never told me that.

Hi all. I figured I would join the waitlist crew, since I still have hope that one day I will receive an e-mail stating that I too have been admitted.

Hmm. How long did the recent admits have to make a decision/send in a deposit? That might help us figure out if it's a possibility...

I got in last Thursday (I think the latest batch) and we had until today to submit the deposit--so my guess would be middle of next week for another round?

I just wrote them to turn down their offer... felt like something died within me.

On a more pleasant note - congrats rayiner. I know how much you wanted this.
