I don't think so. If that's the case, Fordham can let more applicants waitlisted for fulltime in since a lot of applicants chose to stay on both FT and PT waitlist.
Lilac, it will be interesting to see what happens with the full time program. Assuming the size of the PT class did not fall, there may indeed be more space opening up there, especially given the lower yield. I hope this means your FT chances are still good!
Thank u, Opera.
I was thinking of going there tomorrow or maybe next Monday to persuade Dean Brown to give me a shot. I now want part time program more due to certain circumstances. I wish I had applied part time from the very beginning. There maybe less pain now.

My dear, that is beautiful! Do you have Chinese characters on your keyboard? I really hope you are admitted. The school needs more people like you! I am also probably going on Monday, to speak to someone in financial aid. Since need based aid is exhausted, parental info is no longer required, but I am really worried about the lamentable state of my credit history.
If you end up going tomorrow, PM me!

I am using exact same key board as you do.
I have Chinese input installed. In China, we are using Pinyin for each character. A lot of Chinese character have same sound, so I can input pinyin (the sound of a Chinese character) on the standard keyboard and select the right Chinese character I want to use.

That is really cool! I wish I knew Chinese. I'm terrible at languages, though, so I'll probably never be able to learn. <3

I think you can do anything if u put your heart to.
See, you got off the waitlist of Fordham. Not so many people did that.
Good luck tomorrow!

No news yet, Pammy, aside from the big cut to the part time program. Did you see the thread about it?
Hopefully good news will be forthcoming soon.

ah... a refreshing weekend in the city... and now i'm back on TLS.
just fyi, i got my acceptance packet yesterday. just an admissions letter, a little spiral bound book with all sorts of info, and two envelopes for deposits. they did not, however, specify when deposits are due. the little book says april 15th and june 1st, but, since i was admitted on may 10th, i'm thinking that doesn't apply... will have to give them a call to find out more tomorrow.
hope you all had a lovely weekend.

So I wrote a second LOCI to Dean Treanor, now after all this thread reading I'm thinking should I have sent it Dean Brown? Or does it all go to the same place? Weigh in friends?

Dean Treanor is the head of the school. Dean Brown is now (in practice, if not officially) the head of admissions. I wouldn't worry about it, though. You showed your interest, and that is the critical thing.
Did you hear about the reduction in the PT class size, though? It's 25% smaller than it was last year.

That's what I was hoping, interest is def there and still going strong. Waiting waiting waiting!
As for the class reduction, yea, I did see that... wonder how that will affect the rest of this cycle....

I wish there was something I could do to make the wait easier. I'm really upset about the reduction, though. I can't believe USNews is allowed to wield this kind of power over schools. Hopefully things will still go well.

I know! I got so excited when mine arrived. I started crying, and it took me fifteen minutes to read the single page letter.
Check your PMs, btw.

Opera, did you get your acceptance letter today? I didn't get mine (in the city also), and I'm wondering if it's just taking longer or if the guy that picks up my mail is being awful at it again (one time i didn't get a coned bill for like 3 months, and then like 5 of them "arrived" on the same day with postmarks from long, long ago). i digress.
Nothing. More waiting! It usually takes me 4 to 5 days to get mail sent from 40 blocks away. How far out are you? I'm in the East Village.
um, i currently live 8 blocks south of fordham law, and i still haven't gotten anything either. wtf....
i am eerily close to you. please exude your acceptance karma/aura a little more. i will be standing by to catch. thank you come again.

The wait is just agonizing. How long should I wait before writing a second LOCI? I handed in my first on May 14th.

Longer than 4 days. They might not have even read it yet.

Chalmers is no longer with Fordham. Don't address the loci to him.

I addressed it to Admissions, but gave it to D.B. myself. That's not bad, is it? I mean, what if someone else in Admissions is reading it...

I don't think Dean Brown will take it personally...

No I don't think he did. I was there when he kind of browsed through it and he didn't seem offended, but I'm just worried 'cause ppl here are speaking of lots of technicalities and formalities when it comes to all this stuff. It makes me nervous because I wasn't very formal when I went to see him or in my LOCI. I'm just so confused with the whole process. It seems everyone on TLS is better informed than I am.

I am positive you are fine. Especially with the whole shake-up in the admissions office (a lot of people probably addressed it to the wrong person or didn't know who to address it to.

pammy did you, or anyone who has done it, call to make an appointment to talk to the Dean, or did you just walk into admissions at the right time?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
