I actually got my snail mail letter denying my initial application yesterday. Even though so much has happened since then, it stung. I really hope to we get an answer soon... a positive one at that.

I kind of want to start the admitted student's assigned summer reading but I feel like I would be jumping the gun....

Hopefully that will distract me from worrying due to resent developments (i.e. the LSN update).

I tried and didn't have the luck to talk to him. I left a message on Tuesday asking him if it is helpful to send another recommendation letter. I tried to call twice yesterday, but I didn't leave message. I am worried that he has phone screening and he knows that I am stalking him.

A Civil Action is a very nice book. Highly recommended. I read it a couple years ago.
