Re: Fordham taking forever to reply
congratulations Lilac.
I actually got my snail mail letter denying my initial application yesterday. Even though so much has happened since then, it stung. I really hope to we get an answer soon... a positive one at that.
I kind of want to start the admitted student's assigned summer reading but I feel like I would be jumping the gun....

When did you first apply?
Does anyone know by what percentage applications increased @ Fordham Law this year? Or are they generally pretty slow to snail mail notifications?

It doesn't specify FT or PT and they applied for both, I wonder which it is.lv06 wrote:AHH! Someone's been admitted off the waitlist, according to LSN! 164/3.39. And she's attending!!

You know what… I’m going to start the reading over the weekend. The worst that could happen is that I’ll be really prepared…
Hopefully that will distract me from worrying due to resent developments (i.e. the LSN update).

...so any of us hardcore waiters who can't understand how people are getting accepted and we aren't talk to the ad office lately? Anything? I hate to annoy them, but tomorrow I'm calling again.

When you call do you just ask to speak with Dean Brown? I want to call today. I have only had email contact with Brown.

Re: Fordham taking forever to reply
I tried and didn't have the luck to talk to him. I left a message on Tuesday asking him if it is helpful to send another recommendation letter. I tried to call twice yesterday, but I didn't leave message. I am worried that he has phone screening and he knows that I am stalking him.nyclaw wrote:When you call do you just ask to speak with Dean Brown? I want to call today. Also called and got the brush off today, but that was before I even said my name... my phone call didn't get that far even.
Got the usual "files are under review" response. I say boo to that.
Still hoping, still very much hoping.

A Civil Action is a very nice book. Highly recommended. I read it a couple years ago.ZXCVBNM wrote:what reading?MandM wrote:You know what… I’m going to start the reading over the weekend. The worst that could happen is that I’ll be really prepared…
