Congrats ZXCVBNM, I chimed in on your Maryland v Fordham thread. I would've had a very tough decision like yours had I gotten into Fordham PT. It is a good decision to have to make, well done!

I was denied to their FT program about a month ago and emailed that I would like consideration for the PT. Out of nowhere I was emailed an acceptance today. I'm actually pretty shocked...and of course very happy.

Opera, I finally talked to Dean Brown. He said the part time program will be the same size as of before.
But there are too many people who double deposited, he said there is no way to predict any waitlist movement.

Does that mean that this could go on all summer? I can't handle it anymore, honestly.

Lilac,

You mention the PT program will be the same size as before, does this mean that the class size will be 160 as in previous years? I am still wait listed for PT and am anxiously keeping an eye on my status checker :-).

Dean Brown said the PT class would be the same as of last seven years.

I am checking my status checker every second too. :)

He said that most likely waitlist movement would happen in summer. He will send out a letter to all the waitlistee to see who wants to stay on the list through the summer. Good luck to all of us!

Emailed admission regarding address change. Got back an email in four minutes saying that they will know more about where they stand with the wait list after June 15th. Currently, they are over enrolled.

Good luck for all of us waiting! I guess it will be a long summer.

Lilac, they are increasing the PT program from the 120 figure they told us about? The class was 160 last year, according to the data Fordham gave to USNews.

I hope they won't stay over enrolled.

Heard the exact same details from admissions today, better shot for PT than FT at this point and no waitlist movement or consideration until June 15th at the earliest.

Really stupid question, with the evening programs, do undergrad student loan repayments kick in because of the smaller number of credits?

I think PT class will be 160. Dean Brown said so and he was joking that if the PT class were not the same as the last year, he might not work here the next year. I started thinking that at the beginning Fordham intended to shrink the class size due to US News Ranking as you suspected and then decided not to since they get get enough people who changed from FT waitlist to PT waitlist.

He said FT is very full and PT is full. I guess I will have better chance in PT than FT for sure.

Oh, wow. Lilac, I'm so glad our class will not be cut! I really want you to get in... hopefully this is good news! People love Fordham, and would attend even if all the classes were at 4:00 am. I would.

I guess the "120 students" comment mentioned in the letter was a mistake.

Good luck to everyone on the waitlist! I'm currently going through the same thing at GW...it's quite stressful.

What is GW doing to you guys, anyway?

(You have no idea how happy I am about the non-reduction at Fordham. This is a sweet, sweet personal vindication.)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
