If they haven't even started reviewing reserve candidates, which means they haven't yet created their official waitlist, I think we're in for a pretty long wait for any new acceptances. I can't wait to just know what I'm going to be doing come August already. (hopefully Cornell...)

just wondering, have any of you been placed on reserve TWICE. I was deferred after early admission, then again in March. Not sure why I wasn't just waitlisted at that point.

Nobody has been waitlisted...WL come after the re-reviews of Reservees lol

Just called the office. Apparently today was the postmark date for the deposit for those people who were admitted late. This means that they will probably start having a more concrete idea of what places are open by Wednesday or so of next week. She said that's when they'll begin to review reserve candidates, but not all of them - only the ones who have expressed interest in Cornell, which I understood to mean that if you didn't send in an additional LOR or an LOCI, you're probably going to be off that list. Let the desperate waiting begin!

Just got off the phone with them. Apparently they're still receiving some deposits, so they don't quite know how full the class will be. She did mention that they will begin re-reviewing reserve applicants next week.

I'm calling not it in advance for any future plans to call (even if they are my own).

I just talked to the lady at Cornell and she was incredibly informative. Basically there is no waitlist at the moment. Everyone is on reserve. In the next week or so, they will then either accept, waitlist, or reject the people on reserve (She did say there would be a couple of spots open for people to get accepted straight off reserve). Once they do that, they will have a smaller group of people on the waitlist, which will get admitted on a 1-1 ratio (meaning one person will be admitted for every student who changes their mind). She said there are approximately 175 on the reserve list. Hope this helps!

Wow, 175 actually isn't too bad, considering the fact that they're going to reject a bunch of those (granted, one of the rejects could end up being me haha...). That waitlist is going to be a nice, hopeful size

When I called, the person I spoke to also said that a few members of the committee are on vacation right now, so that could be affecting how things will move.
