I called and asked for the status of my application. She told me the decision had been mailed but if I wanted to know the decision she could tell me over the phone- wait list.

(First post, how exciting.)

I checked my status earlier this week and was at "Decision" 5/8/09. Now, I just checked and my status is "Complete" 5/8/09. How can I be moving backwards in the admissions process? This does not bode well...

Well, looks like next year-off to enjoy my summer and put in some more work. Good luck to those on the waitlist.

I'm just waiting for someone in the Cornell Admissions office to create an account just to post updates in this thread.

Haha. It would probably be better for them than having to field all of our calls. Also, emails. (???!!)

Just spoke to incredibly gracious and helpful admissions officer. My file has no update and I should call back midweek.

Some multiple depositors are still in limbo regarding committing to Cornell. For that, and, possibly, other unspecified reasons there is a likelihood there will be "a few" more spots are opening up. I politely fished for whether or not these would be filled by reservers who had not yet been WLed / rejected, and was told this could very well happen. Nonetheless, she strongly implied that the class is extremely close to being totally full.

This is all partly colored by my interpretation so don't take it as gospel. She also said the waitlist for summer will probably have "some" movement.

Hope this helps.

So, from what I can tell, no acceptances today? I guess they've just been deciding who to reject and who to waitlist these past weeks... Oh well, at least I'm still hammered...might even give Cornell a little drunk dial.

i guess this is good news. especially that last part, because if that's the case, then choosing to interview/interviewing well may very well be an ace in the hole.

My status checker isn't at decision yet. Anyway, I'm not calling. And if I get waitlisted, that'll be one more out of the way for you guys because I'll be withdrawing immediately.

This is crazy. I only applied because they sent me a fee waiver. I'm signing a lease in Chicago next week. I am just so exhausted and the T-14 isn't worth this hell for me anymore. Good luck everyone.
