I visited the campus a while back. The library is pretty amazing. It has these great cubicle-like areas that you get when you're a 2L and 3L, where you can study and keep your stuff.rainmaker614 wrote:That's awesome. Is it actually a nice place to study though? Yeah. It is a hopping part of the law building lots of students in their carrels studying their asses off. (THose are what you call the cubicle like things. They also have a lockable glass case to store your books and supplies. All 2L and 3Ls get them.

Lovely, although the law school is located on the other side of the river from all this stuff.scott82 wrote:Center of the ped mall (building in the background is Hotel Vetro)

According to Google, this exists at the University of Iowa College of Law. It looks like a sort of jungle gym for law students.

I'm pretty sure that's the lobby of the new art building. It's somewhat close to the law building, though.Whitty wrote:I need to climb this a.s.a.p.mikeytwoshoes wrote: According to Google, this exists at the University of Iowa College of Law. It looks like a sort of jungle gym for law students.

Thankfully not too close, or we'd be attending law school in an abandoned Menards.jschuyler wrote:I'm pretty sure that's the lobby of the new art building. That's actually kind of awesome. I wonder if they would let me rent out a little space in there? It would be so nice to have a place to paint in LS, le sigh.scott82 wrote: Thankfully not too close, or we'd be attending law school in an abandoned Menards.

The state of Iowa in general got flooded the f' up last year, but, yeah, the area around the University got hit pretty hard. As it turns out, putting a bunch of expensive buildings in a flood plain is a really bad idea.jschuyler wrote:oh man, that's right, Iowa City got flooded the f' up last yearscott82 wrote:Thankfully not too close, or we'd be attending law school in an abandoned Menards.

The jungle gym in the art school seems to have taken over as the topic of the day.

Ah, yes. You gotta admit though... it's pretty awesome looking. And as acceptancees, we could have the option of visiting this building. Besides, since where is there such thing as "on topic" at TLS?hoosier1508 wrote:Iowa law school and being accepted to it.crystalhawkeye wrote:Talking about Iowa?hoosier1508 wrote:This thread has deviated far from its original purpose.

There is no such thing, but this structure doesn't interest me. Therefore, I needed the topic of conversation to go elsewhere.crystalhawkeye wrote:Ah, yes.
