If the choice was L & C or Oregon at about the same price for each - which is the better choice?

Re: University of Oregon Law
L&C is a bit higher ranked and they both have fairly simmilar job prospects although L&C has a higher median starting sallery according to US News for whatever that is worth. With that in mind I would probably choose L&C if they cost the same... Unfortunatly they dont and L&C isent a significantly better school so if I was forced to pay full tuition I would definatly choose U of O.kak23 wrote:If the choice was L & C or Oregon at about the same price for each - which is the better choice?

Re: University of Oregon Law
I, too, applied to both U of Oregon and Lewis & Clark... Luckily, I've heard back from another school that I like as well, so I'm not AS stressed out, but I'm definitely anxiously awaiting any news.
(Somewhat?) Interesting note: I applied to 2 other private schools (besides L&C) and 2 other public schools (besides U of O). I've not heard anything from any of the public schools, BUT I've heard back from both of the other private schools, making L&C the last one to notify me...
But my husband is pushing for Lewis & Clark. We live in Kansas City, and Portland seems just awesome. So, if I get in, I'll probably either go there or to the East Coast schools that I've heard from (Wake Forest & Richmond). We've lived in the Midwest all of our lives, and we need to see some freaking ocean now & then!!

Hey, did anyone else apply for the joint JD/LLM program in Environmental Law??

Portland is fully awesome, I've lived here for about 7 years. I'm willing to answer any questions about the city if you have any.

I grew up in Portland, and am backing living there now... but went to UG at University of Oregon. I applied to L&C and UO and know students/former students from each law school, if anyone has any questions. The kids I know at UO law are "double Ducks" (people I met in UG at UO and who went on straight to law school there) and they are really having a good time there.

I only applied to Willamette, not L&C or UO, so yeah, this is definitely what I wanted to know.

What makes you say that...? The profile here at TLS makes me feel like that is not the case at all.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
