Decision 3/25 as well. Was in the "In Review 3/12" group. I was also a splitter w/ lower scores than some who've already been rejected. 167/3.24, 7 years work experience as an officer in the Navy.

Maybe this is an uninformed question, but has anyone heard of anybody being put on the waitlist by UW yet? So far all I see are flat out acceptances or rejections.

My status has been updated twice today! Can we please just get this over with?

It went from In Review 3/14 -> In Review 3/24 -> In Review 3/25

For when it goes to Decision:
----
Dear University of Washington School of Law Admissions,

I humbly request that you get with the email notifications forthwith, with all due haste, and even pronto.

Kthx,

I checked again too. I couldn't help myself.

My checker now says I'm "in review" 3/25.

I was told I was out of committee just a few hours ago. Why am I not at "decision" :!:

I wish they would just stop messing with us :(

Hey, I just saw the USNWR 2010 rankings and the UW is ranked 1st for 'Using Status Checker to Build Suspense'

Glad to see them recognized for their hard work.

I'm inclined to believe we're all waitlists, mainly because there have been large groups of accepts and denies, but no WL batches. Also, I'm going to speculate that UW ranks their WL, hence the extend wait and March-long "in review" period for all of us. Anybody have any inculpatory or exculpatory evidence regarding this proposition?

P.S.: I know I sound like a tool using those words in common parlance. But I only used them so I could segue into this commentary: it really annoys me when legal TV shows interject descriptions of what they're talking about into the middle of their dialogue. Prosecutor on Law & Order, to the D.A.: "I'm afriad we just found some exculpatory evidence . . . evidence that he didn't do it." No shit Sherlock, even real-life Fred Thompson could figure that out.
After numerous previous "in review" dates, mine changed twice yesterday as well...first to 3/24, then to 3/25...a waitlist would be a miracle considering my GPA...I was always under the impression that they emphasized that aspect of the app more than other schools...

Well actually looking at the graphs from the last couple years on LSN it seems like they don't WL many people (very few yellow dots); they don't abuse their WL like UVA or Vandy. I think the majority of us will probably get in/out decisions coming up here.

So, don't know if this helps anyone, or if anyone is similarly concerned, but I spoke with Financial Aid this morning and the guy on the phone (who was kind of an asshole) informed me that "Some scholarship offers have been sent out already, and we will continue to award grants and scholarships throughout the next two months."

I pointed out that it might be disadvantageous to the law school to alienate qualified students by not releasing financial offers within the time frame of most other schools (ie., the general April 15th deadline), to which I was told "well, whatever, then I guess the other schools will get the good kids."

Aloofness aside, has anyone gotten a scholarship offer from UW yet and, if so, how were you notified?

Thanks.

Wow, did they really say that to you?
Nothing yet here. Going to send them an email with copies of my *3* other scholarship offers.

Their fin aid guy is TERRIBLE imo...in speaking to him, I expressed some concern about relying entirely on loans and he was basically like, "whatever, that's how most people do it, it will be worth it." he also said that UW's strategy is to "buy" the best class that they could and that i shouldn't hold my breath for any offers. [166/3.74 in-state - not the best applicant ever, but hardly the bottom of the barrel either]. i really like uwls but he gave me such a sour taste that i seriously considered not going.

Wow...even though I would probably be one of the last people offered a seat there, if I get offered one in the first place, that really makes me think that I would be better off at Seattle U (if I get accepted there also) given that their staff has been so friendly and actually gives a shit.

I had a similarly bad taste in my mouth after my campus visit a couple of months ago. It was very surprising, because prior to that visit UW was by far my top choice.
