I suspect this fellow is part of the dreaded 3/13 group, of which I'm unfortunately part of.Today, I was rejected from the University of Washington. My dad has been a professor there for 30 years, and is on the board of admissions. FML

I would be freaking out if I knew I had a decision on the way. It sure would be nice to have some closure, though.Marmot wrote:Nothing yet for this 3/12 decision guy.

Heh... that was the rest of my cycle! Thanks, though. My decision is an easy one now, at any rate.tvaddicted wrote:sorry to hear that, marmot. ...i hope the rest of your cycle goes well!Marmot wrote:...nope.

And I'm officially pulling for Mississippi State to get the upset in round 1 of the NCAA tournament.

Re: University of Washington
Sorry, Marmot--I know you're hoping for UW. I think you're heading to Seattle U, right? I have a couple of friends who have been in or graduated from there and both of them have great things to say about it (which is not the case for my friends who went to UW, oddly.) I heard that Seattle U's dean is not going to move to UW and that's a HUGE plus for you.Marmot wrote:Heh... that was the rest of my cycle! Thanks, though. What did your status checker say? When did your status checker change?
In-state or out-of-state?
And, if you don't mind, numbers?

Are you sure you are in the right Washington thread? University of, not University.hellogoodbye wrote:In via email today
To my knowledge UW hasn't emailed any decisions, whereas that is the standard for WUSTL.
I think this happened once before.

My condolences. The fickle winds of the admissions process...

Any word on the 3/13 group, yet?
I'm on campus until 3PM today and there is probably a letter sitting in my mailbox. Oh the agony!

My status checker says my decision is 3/13 instead of 3/12 like yours. I wonder if this signifies anything, UWash is also one of my HUGE reaches too.Marmot wrote:...nope.

First letter of my last name is also H, so I'm guessing they might be sending out rejection decisions in alphabetical order.maestoso43 wrote:I propose that everyone share their numbers, their status checker info, residency, and the first letter of their last name so that we can have even more anxious fun speculating.
For moi:
161/3.89
"Decision" 3-13-09
Out-of-state
H

Flat out REJECTION received in the mail.
I was good enough for George Washington, but not the University of Washington. I'll never understand this process.
Oh well.
Better luck to the rest of y'all!

Re: University of Washington
For all of you wondering about decision timing:
I visited UW and they told me that the admissions committee uses input from some student readers to help make decisions on files; files aren't getting reviewed this week because students are in finals (UW Law is on the quarter system). I'd imagine they'll start back up once the school's spring break is over (a week from Monday).
