Re: In at University of Houston
Just got the e-mail, I'm in!
171/3.0... Complete early January, although I had to contact them last week b/c I had never received an e-mail saying my application was complete or giving me status check information.
Anyone receive any scholarship info yet?

I got the e-mail today too! 170/3.7. No mention of scholarship but I hear that they do it separately so I'm not sure how that will work.

Looks like another batch of decisions may have gone out today, and I'm still in review. The wait continues.

I got the acceptance email as well. Decision rendered on 1/22, decision letter mailed 1/26, but I've yet to receive it and I'm in Houston.

Yeah, it really is nice to have it. Took them a while to send these out, but I'm glad to have an option (especially if there's money). All in all, great news!ChrisCiolko wrote:I'm in! Just got the email today. Its my backup school, but it still a relief to get my first acceptance.

In as well. Applied 1/5 and I'm really surprised how quickly they got back to me as my numbers are nothing special (162/3.5).

Just got the letter. It wasn't sent out on 1/26 (my status checker lies!) because it was postmarked 1/30. Letter is a regular sized thin white envelop, nothing fancy. It also says scholarships will come in a separate letter.

I am dying of anticipation! My file still just says "complete" and has been there since 10/27! I know they are supposed to get back to early admits by the end of February (latest), so they better hurry on up!!!

Re: In at University of Houston
Did you apply FT or PT? I expect them to probably look at the next batch in mid-February but the good news is that the deadline for FT is February 15th, whereas for PT the deadline is all the way in May...which means longer wait (like myself)lawschoolchick73 wrote:I am dying of anticipation! Applied 10/01
Complete 10/24
In Review 12/02
FT ED
#1 school for me
The wait is agonizing and it can't be healthy to refresh your email every 10 mins.

Similar turnaround as me only I applied PT and my application status says "Hold" which is deferred, which sucks for me cause the PT deadline is May 15th...ridiculousG_Girl4098 wrote:Applied 10/01

I'm wishing now I had applied part time cause my numbers are a little low (155/3.4) but I have some killer LORs. I guess time will tell.

Re: In at University of Houston
you can always email them an ask them to change your application...my friend did it and switched from PT to FT
and sadly the further along I go through this process, the LSAT really is the only thing that matters to these guys...I also have a low score but i'm retaking in Feb
