Re: In at University of Houston
My status was file in review 12/18 and changed to file in review 2/15. I guess that means I was put in the maybe pile and am now being reconsidered. I really hope they tell us soon....waiting is horrible. Anybody else apply early decision with similar status changes?

For those of you who have been accepted via status checker-
Did you get a email notifying you that your status has changed? I don't want to continue to uselessly check the status checker if they will notify me when it changes by email.

No email. My status checker updated to admitted on 2/15 and the first communication I received from them after that was an email about visiting campus that came several days later. Later that same day I got the acceptance letter in the mail.waverider wrote:For those of you who have been accepted via status checker-

File in Review 1/5, 2/2, 2/16, and 2/24. What does this mean? Are they looking at everyone’s application this much? Is it a good sign that these dates are getting closer together?

About a week ago, they told me hopefully two weeks. So...a week from now? They mentioned that they were a little behind in the admissions offices.dolce102 wrote:Same review and acceptance dates... turnaround seems to be a week.billaboy12 wrote:same dates. in with 163/3.4 good luck everyonecolemf wrote:Hey guys i went complete 1/28, went in review 2/15, got accepted today(2/23) via status checker, 162/3.49. It's steep. My friend (UH 1L) wanted to live there this year but it was 300+ more per month than it was to live right off campus.dvt0004 wrote:Has anyone requested prices for Calhoun Lofts? I am interested in the one and two bedroom lofts.

Got it too. OOS, 162, crappy GPA.choochoo wrote:WOW I just got waitlisted today. 161/3.5 in-state. WTF??
OTOH, I hope this doesn't mean they got my Feb. LSAT and it's bad. Then again, they've been reviewing me for a while.

I got WLed too. 155/4.0+ from a T20 ugrad. In state. In at Tulane though (with a scholarship, no less), so it's not that big of a deal.

Lived in Houston my whole life, the law school is in a pretty shitty location and with tuition hikes coming up George Mason is looking better and better every day.
