Top Law Schools

Just wondering. Last few years they've sent out their first round of acceptance letters around the 15th or 16th, I think.

NOpe. And none on lawschoolnumbers.com either. I'm thinking January. but that's only a few weeks away and Christmas is here to distract us for a while.

I was anxious this past Wednesday, thinking that I had cracked the code since (per LSN) the last couple of cycles the first acceptances were sent the Wednesday before winter break. Alas, a day of watching my phone/email in vain.



My status checker has shown "application complete" since 11/03. Anyone have anything different?

Got the call today around 11. She also mentioned a full tuition scholarship. Very excited!

I've heard nothing, but I applied part-time so I guess i'm expecting to hear later anyways

That was my feeling, too - thus the request for details. (Hope springs eternal that acceptances are on their way)

My hopes will spring until January 31st. Then I'll give up.

Got the call from Maggie (?) today while shopping. She's very nice, as are all the SMU admissions reps I've met.

I guess that is all the notifications people will be getting before they go on their Christmas Break right?

Thanks! She said official acceptances will be sent out in January. I find it odd that today would be the only day they called people before break, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if more acceptances roll in on Monday. Who knows.

As for my status checker, I went complete 11/11 and right now it shows "Decision Rendered" since 12/17.

their website says the admissions office is closed next Monday through Friday, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Nobody wants to have to work during the Holidays. I'd expect we will probably start hearing back from them sometime after the 29th.

Congrats to those that have heard back already. Sounds like they are working from the top down. I was hoping to be at the top of their list, but I guess not since they have already contacted people and I've got nothing. Here's to hoping that I'll hear something next week... or the next...

Anybody heard anything lately? I know last week was a holiday, but I'm wondering if they did anything on the 22nd or 23rd. Hopefully this week will bring some good news for SMU hopefuls...

I bet we will hear this week or next. My e mail from them said they'd respond by Jan 31. So, that's not too far off. Just 3.5 weeks of misery. yeeesh!

I think schools are taking their sweet time because they want to hear what the US News's decision is on combining full-time and part-time stats for their overall rankings because they're releasing a part-time ranking this year as well...who knows though

When do those come out?
