Has anyone in at SMU heard anything from financial aid? (other than academic scholarship).

100%? That's pretty confident! May I ask why? I'm pretty sure you're right but I'm not really basing it on anything but the fact that I think they will want to get them done before the weekend....

Aside from that very last week of rush acceptances; they always make their acceptance calls on Friday. The round sent out on Monday would be everyone else, i.e. WLs and rejects.soccerchick47 wrote:BigAristotle wrote:Nadda. 100% positive Tomorrow is boom or bust for acceptances.soccerchick47 wrote:3pm (central time) on Thursday....getting so close, and updates from anyone? Re: Anybody heard back from SMU?
I never did, but I assumed that was because I withdrew my application. I heard from UT fin. aid and then sent a letter withdrawing from SMU. You'd think they'd notify around the same time.bcb1986 wrote:Has anyone in at SMU heard anything from financial aid? (other than academic scholarship).

Did you really hear they were extending to July 1st? Or are you just joking?

I was just pointing out that having a high LSAT is nothing special. SMU undergrad accepted me with all my questionable background so I imagine the law school would have a similar predilection.OasisFan wrote:You will be don't stress that. (note I did not graduate from SMU, but did attend)

Do you actually want to go to SMU? It looks like you have been accepted to similar schools (Tulane) and have some decent waitlist schools.
Yes, I would seriously consider them. I'm from Dallas, my entire family is in Dallas, I want to be in Dallas. But I would need a scholarship that makes attending feasible in comparison to Bama. And I would have to be able to ride out the waitlists I'm on until my July 1st deadline.

I think the post was just speculating since they extended it so far already, why not extend it again?amatheus wrote:Did you really hear they were extending to July 1st? Or are you just joking?

Re: Anybody heard back from SMU?
Don't jump the gun just yet. Firstly our decisions pretty much depend on seat deposits, which by all accounts have been coming by the boatload for SMU. This could very well be a case of just "going through the motions" and finishing up the paperwork. Either way heres to some acceptances!Jkess wrote:Nope, not yet, Im getting nervous!

I haven't gotten any calls, and no changes on my status checker. Since this could be the last day, they might be a little later?

I did get my call somewhere between 11 and 12 when I was accepted. It's not 12 yet though, so good luck to all of you.

I'm starting to agree with this...it appears as though nobody's status checkers have changed since the 4th, so I'm thinking they want 1 clean week to "finish their decisions"amatheus wrote:Why does everyone think today is the day???
