As far as real world cost of living goes, you can't get much cheaper than Gainesville's. Half of the $27,452 is cost of living. Tuition is unbelievably low, given UF's rank. Just look at what the UC schools charge for in-state tuition. The University of South Carolina, ranked 87th, charges $5,000 more than UF for in-state tuition. Actually, I challenge you to find me any law school that charges significantly less than UF. As for the "but some schools cost less after scholarships" argument - what are those other schools ranked?

I agree with this guy. The only school I've come across that has a cheaper in-state tuition is the University of Tennessee (it's about 13,500). Even with that, I would argue that the value of a UF degree is much greater than one from UT-K. This is why I will probably be ending up in Gainseville.

Agree, UF is quite a steal for in-state applicants. UNC is a great bargain too.

I'm starting to get nervous now (161). No non- urm has been accepted , judging from lsn, has been accepted with a lsat less than 162.

It looks like most acceptances were received by 3/22 or 3/25 so I'm thinking will see the last major batch of acceptances (possibly a mixed batch) will come out later on this week or early next week (but of course that means we're still waiting weeks to actually know our decision).

Good luck to everyone else playing the waiting game.

One of my fraternity brothers (who is now a 1L) did not receive his admissions letter until the first week of April, though Im not sure when when his status changed to DLIT.

FYI we are in Orlando, which is about a 2 hour drive from Gainesville.

I think that the UF admissions office is slightly farther behind in the process than they were this time last year. They have told us all along that priority pool applicants will hear by "late March or early April". With quite a few of us still held for further review, I imagine they'll stretch out acceptances through the end of March.

However, last year there was only 1 non-WL acceptance received after 3/23, which means we better hope we get DLIT in the next 4 days. Also, LSN shows 71 acceptances thus far this year (3/11/2010), and it only shows 1 more acceptance (72 total) as of 3/11/2009. I imagine that the total number of applicants that register on LSN tends to increase from year to year, but I guess there's no way to know exactly.

Does anyone know if UF sends out an e-mail to those who have been accepted or waitlisted?

I'm a 3/5 DIT. Got my acceptance letter today from the Law school, but got something that betrayed my acceptance from the Grad School yesterday.

Good luck everyone else, I'll probably end up with the Noles, but won't decide until after I attend both ASDs

Sounds like most, if not everyone who went DIT 3/5 are admits.
