It was an email in the morning, then a call in the afternoon.

I just got the rejection e-mail. I wish they would have done it a little earlier or later.

It wasn't a very nice e-mail to get on my birthday. :(

Congratulations pericles and everyone else getting in! FYI, there is a "HLS Class of 2011" Facebook group you should join :)

does anyone know what new information they would get this late in the game that would allow someone to be accepted off the waitlist? i'm still on the waitlist, along with a lot of other people i'm sure, but it doesn't really make sense to me! i'm happy to be on the list, and i would attend in a heartbeat if i was accepted, but i'm just confused as to why they would need a list at all at this point. could people still decide they want to defer?

Domino effect from acceptances off other waitlists. Once I get my Stanford stuff squared away, I'm withdrawing from Harvard, so hopefully that'll help out someone.

I'm still waiting! But I'm off to Columbia in a few days, so I don't know how long I can wait. Anyone else out there?

I actually had a 170 and 3.89 and not an URM, so I think I am a little unrepresentative on the low-end of applicants who get in off the waitlist. It may be obvious, but communicating to them why I wanted to attend Harvard Law specifically, I think, made the difference.

Officially toast, although I have already moved and everything, so that just would have been a pain to do it again. :P
