NYU Waitlist c/o 2022 (2018-2019)

Post by harryfei » Sat Apr 27, 2019 6:13 pm

Since the waitlist waves just hit this week, I thought it might be helpful to start this thread. I received my waitlist email on 4/24.

This year NYU is allowing their "active wait list applicant pool to interview via online video". I haven't received an interview invite yet, and I'm curious to see if it's the Kira again.

I also received the waitlist invitation on 4/24. Currently on the WL for Columbia, Michigan and NYU. Haven't gotten my interview request yet either!

What schools have you been admitted into?

Since your LSAT and GPA are both below median (with GPA <25%), I have to say the chances are not very good. However, you never know. Do the interview and submit LOCIs and other materials if you have the time. NYU's waitlist is not as hard to get off as most other T14s, although the chance is still small.

Has anyone gotten off the waitlist? If so, when?

I haven't heard anything since the video interview :/ I submitted a letter of interest in May and an update on recent activities in June. Not sure what else to do...

I check the admissions subreddit now and then and a few people have gotten offers (though not that recently). From what I've heard, they will send you a feeler call/email if they're considering you for the next spot.
