I think it depends on what part of the country you are in. I went soft "complete" on 10/3 and got the email with my interviewer on 10/8. Was able to set up and complete the interview on 10/11. My app then went full complete in the evening of the 11th.

Currently under review. Here's to hoping for longshots lol

Interviewing early next week, went complete on 9 October. NW was my top school going into this beforehand... can’t wait!

I'm jealous of those of you interviewing in person! I wasn't a fan of the online interview.

Same. I was hoping it would at least be like other online interviews that are done with a person over skype (i.e. WUSTL). It didn't help that my dog, who is usually dead silent and put in another room, decided to go on the loudest barking spree of her life 3 seconds after I started recording one of my responses -_-

Hopefully, I'll be able to look back on that one day and laugh, but seeing as I'm counting on a generous review of soft factors at NW, I'm not there yet lol. NW was my ED choice. I would've gone with Chicago, but seeing as I'm a reach at both of them, NW's preference for work history made it the logical choice from a statistical perspective

Considering I have the GI Bill/Yellow Ribbon to pay for school, is Northwestern more likely to waitlist my ED application to save the $120k scholarship? I suspect they would-- it makes sense to save the scholarshp for someone that needs it. But I'm curious what everyone's thoughts were, and assuming they do waitlist me for that reason alone, would I be likely to be admitted in the first wave of RD applicants?

I don't get why they even have that information about your gi bill/ yellow ribbon status, and can't see how it's legal/moral to make what amount to admissions descions on being a protected class like a veteran If you earn a scholarship that money should be yours to keep since you earned it, and your school is being paid for by the goverment... just my 2 cent's. I applied RA >175 lsat <3.0 waiting to hear if they'll want to interview me off site. Thanks for your service pipedream.

Checking in — the online interview was brutal. Mine didn’t show up in my inbox so it was a last-second scramble to get it in on time GRE applicant though, so this whole process is going to be fun!

Checking in - I didn't mind the online interview setting as much as I thought I would. I felt like I had more control of how I was perceived than in an in-person interview. I spent a while just speaking to my webcam, which was weird but effective.

I applied ED, but it's a loooongshot:

GPA > 75
LSAT between 25 and 50.

It matters because post-9/11 GI Bill is "last payer" so, no, that money is not the applicant's to keep. Consider a $50,000 tuition cost. If an applicant has 80% GI Bill coverage and a $10,000 scholarship the scholarship is applied and then the 80% is taken from the remaining $40,000, leaving the applicant with an $8,000 tuition bill. The school, therefore, has little incentive to offer scholarships when the cost to these applicants would be otherwise negligible. This is especially true for applicants at 100%, which most, I would gather, are. Does this give incentive to take the money from the tax payers for exorbitant tuition bills? Absolutely. But that's a cost we've signed on to pay by having an all-volunteer service that stations itself all over the world.

That's my line of thought. I have 100% coverage between the GI bill and yellow ribbon at NU, and personally, I'd rather they gave the scholarship to someone else anyway. I just wish there was a way for them to do that without waitlisting me, especially since ED decisions should come within the next two weeks. I'd even be okay with them saying "you're admitted, but would you mind us not giving you money?" lol

Nothing.

If my status checker has not changed, I'm assuming I was dinged from ED?
