Same here. CA resident, classic splitter.seanbodonovan wrote:I’m in the same boat, but I’m less optimistic. Last year there was a wave of rejections in early January.scalaw wrote:I'm a splitter and always thought that Berkeley was out of reach bc of my low GPA.
I've been UR since 10/12 and haven't been dinged yet so I am starting to think it's a possibility. Berkeley would be ideal because I currently live in the Bay Area, and want to stay.
Stop playing with my heart!!!

Does anyone think there will be any more decisions this month?

Take this with a grain of salt. I live 3 blocks away from Berkeley law and I can confirm there is NOBODY there right now. I mean, you don't have to be at a particular place to make a phone call, but it makes more sense that everyone has checked out for the year.gmg wrote:Does anyone think there will be any more decisions this month?

Did you go to Berkeley for undergrad too? There are so many of us applying this cycle lolKENYADIGG1T wrote:Take this with a grain of salt. It sounds as though other admits also haven't gotten the packet yet? Glad we're in the same boat! I got my email in early December and have been puzzling over the delay.

I just got mine today after being accepted at the start of the month. Somewhere on the website it mentions that it takes a couple weeks to arrive.

I forbid my admissions packet yesterday. It’s attractive - the nicest looking that I’ve received so far. There’s a little sticky note inside with a nice comment on my PS. It looks like all the law schools are going for a slightly more personal touch this cycle.

The personalized note in the admissions packet is a nice touch, but did anyone else’s note seem like a complete non-sequiter? Feeling like maybe I got somebody else’s note.

Received my acceptance packet in the mail this past week.
Does anyone know when Berkeley will make scholarship decisions for admits?

Re: Berkeley Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I'll echo what Keny said: there is no one at the law school right now. The building is dark, and I think even card swipe access is shut off. I don't think any employees are there.
I will also say that I am mystified by some of these dings that came in. As someone who went through Boalt's admissions process, I can say that it was the most frustrating admissions process that I went through (and I applied to nearly the whole T14 + some T1 schools and a local school) because admissions is SO slow at offering up information and sending response emails/answering phone calls. It's utterly maddening.

Re: Berkeley Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
After this cycle, do you think they will release ED information? Based on looking at this page and LSN, there arent too many ED admits (obviously there are probably some who got in who dont get on here) posting their info so it looks like the ED admit pool is very big. I am hoping to apply next cycle once applications go live. Do other law schools release their ED info?

During the LSAC forum in DC this past July Dean Theis-Alvarez told me that they were hoping to admit about 20-25 applicants through ED.jel2184 wrote:After this cycle, do you think they will release ED information?
