Re: WUSTL c/o 2021 Applicants ('17-'18 Cycle)
Trying to figure out whether to ED or apply regular decision. I like the idea of full-tuition ED admit, but I see people with comparative numbers to mine getting scholly offers of full tuition+. I have a 168 LSAT, 3.76 GPA. Thoughts on ED?
Also, are interviews offered only to people who have applied? I am holding off on my application until I visit this weekend, but I feel like it would be advantageous to my chances if I were to interview while there.

excuse the potentially dumb question, but we don't need to apply or do anything special for scholarship after being accepted, right?

Unless you truly only want to go to WashU I wouldn't ED, and even then there's a decent chance if you don't ED you'll either be offered a stipend or be able to negotiate up to a stipend with acceptances at higher ranked schools.smr411 wrote:Trying to figure out whether to ED or apply regular decision. Correct. All applicants are automatically considered.laowhynot109 wrote:excuse the potentially dumb question, but we don't need to apply or do anything special for scholarship after being accepted, right?

I submitted Saturday and still have not gotten an interview request. A little concerned - should I?

Does WUSTL give travel stipends for accepted students to visit? If so, do you have to visit during the accepted students weekend? Considering I got a full tuition scholarship I figure I need to visit and seriously assess whether I would actually be able to live in St. Louis for 3 years (spent last 4 in undergrad in DC...)

I'm going to sound like a noob asking this, but how would you go about asking for one? Do you just email and ask or is there something specific you have to do?yqjyqj wrote:Yes they do. I I haven't even received a decision yet but was told I could get a stipend for visiting.ghostlyyy wrote:Does WUSTL give travel stipends for accepted students to visit? Just send them an email. I think they do it on a case by case basis, for me they booked a couple nights at the conference center right next to the law school.Mikey wrote:I'm going to sound like a noob asking this, but how would you go about asking for one? Got my Skype interview tomorrow. What did people (particularly males) wear? I know instinct is to dress as formally as possible but mine is at 8pm and I'm planning on being on my university campus all day so would rather not wear a suit.

I did mine seated in an office, so I wore a dress shirt and put on a necktie just before the interview.EnglishApplicant2017 wrote:Got my Skype interview tomorrow. Tell me about a failure you've experienced 3. What do you anticipate to be a hurdle in your future law career? 4. Tell me about the diversity you can bring to WashU. 5. Future career aspirations?
None of the questions were related to my resume, PS or student record, probably because they haven't gotten a chance to look at it. I feel my interview was somewhat atypical; some questions were curveball questions (esp. 2 and 3) honestly speaking. Thoughts?
Did you interview prior to submitting your application?

I am planning to wear a button up shirt with a tie.
Debating whether to wear my glasses or not.
Good luck!

What’s been the average elapsed time between getting your admissions decision and getting your scholarship info?

My scholarship came in exactly a week later, but it should be noted that the stipend came in about 30 minutes after the tuition offer.HenryHankPalmer wrote:What’s been the average elapsed time between getting your admissions decision and getting your scholarship info?
