Might seem like an obvious question but is it confirmed that the $150k scholarship will still be offered to ED admits this year?

They've done this for a long time now. Anyone can request a waiver via the form, and they expire in Dec. Not sure if they grant any at all in the new yearPlatopus wrote:So I successfully solicited a waiver, but it expires on Dec. 15th. I plan on applying way before then, but still seems strange to me.

Got the waiver as well.
Also visiting Chicago for the first time and I absolutely love it. I was skeptical because of the cold - I'm from the South and school in the mid-Atlantic almost froze me to death - but three years isn't that long. Really looking much harder at NU now.

I'm also from the South and go to UG within a few hrs of Chicago. Come back in February and make sure you'd want to live up here hahaprincipalagent wrote:Got the waiver as well.

I agree with you on that point, however I am merely saying that someone who does not enjoy cold weather might have a markedly different view of Chicago in September than in February.Platopus wrote:I'm from Chicago and I can verify it is much less worse than everyone seems to think.
Last winter was great, though! But that was definitely an anomaly...

Checkin in! Chicago BigLaw is one of my goals so can't go wrong. Hoping Saturday's LSAT will give a favorable indication of my chances.

Hi everyone!
I should have my LORs in the next couple of weeks so I guess I need to write my personal statement now...
