Re: Georgetown University Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017/2018)
Agh, interviewed 12/13 and ASW says my info cant be generated at this time, makes me very nervous. Really hoping its that a decision hasnt been made and not that the decision is a WL/ding. Thought my numbers were pretty competitive for GULC but took them a while to send an interview request and I am a splitter...

I was able to log in to the ASW this morning but haven’t received anything from them... I’m out of the country so maybe I wasn’t able to see the letter at home. Not able to log onto canvas or anything that requires a NetID... what should I take this to mean

Got my letter today, my parents sent me a photo! I’m in! Submitted 11/6, invited to a group interview at the beginning of that month but had to decline because I’m out of the country.
Letter dated 12/11, received 12/23 (but where I am it’s already Christmas Eve, so Merry Christmas to meeeeeee!!!)

Just to give some insight to those waiting to hear back. I was able to log in to ASW a few days before I received my physical acceptance letter in the mail so I believe this is a definitely a way to check if you got in already or not.
Submitted 11/4 RD
Alumni Interview in first week of December
Letter Dated 12/18
Postmarked 12/21
Received in mail 12/23
Since someone will probably ask for numbers: 167/3.6x
Good luck to those still waiting!

My app was held, which, as I gather from reading through previous threads, is a precursor to a waitlist offer. Crossing my fingers but not holding my breath, ha. I'm just gonna pretend G-town wasn't my top choice :')
for those curious:
Completed 11/20
Held 12/8
162, 4.0. I think they call people like me a reverse splitter? Or super reverse splitter? Not sure
No status date per status checker. Merry Christmas!

My numbers are almost identical, how do you know that your application was held like you say? For me everything just seems to be frozen and that's true of all schools, none of my checkers are really moving and it is absolutely terrible, I'm really starting to get nervous.commieprince wrote:My app was held, which, as I gather from reading through previous threads, is a precursor to a waitlist offer. question about the admitted students website trick: do you do 'no password' or 'forgotten password'? or does it not even matter

Yeah I am also wondering about this. I did forgot password and it didn’t work, probably because I didn’t get in lol.Mikey wrote:question about the admitted students website trick: do you do 'no password' or 'forgotten password'? or does it not even matter

use "no password" -- they'll assign you an interim one via emailShakeAndBake wrote:Yeah I am also wondering about this. They sent me a letter on 12/8 telling me they were postponing their decision because they wanted to see what the rest of the pool was gonna look like. Sorry things haven't been moving along for you! The wait is agony but I'm certain good things are to come!! keep your head up my friendJBerez wrote:My numbers are almost identical, how do you know that your application was held like you say? Re: Georgetown University Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017/2018)
Got my acceptance letter today (dated 12/22), but the accepted students website still doesn't work for me. They probably mis-entered my very complicated last name or email.
Stats: (when accepted) 170 / 3.93, group interviewed [12/18] in D.C. with Dean Cornblatt. Wrote a Why GTown
Anyone know when scholarship information becomes available?

Just got my acceptance letter dated 12/22. 169, 3.57, no Why Georgetown, alumni interview 12/18. Status Checker still just says application complete.

I applied Dec 5th and received my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday. I didn't interview and didn't write an optional essay either (although I did include a Diversity Statement). Hopefully this quick turnaround signals good things for the other schools I applied to as well (I applied to the entire t14).

Got my acceptance letter in the mail today! It was dated 12/22.
No interview, submitted my app 11/25, competed 12/7.
Good luck to everyone still waiting! Just be patient and positive in the meantime.

Does anyone know if Georgetown does travel stipends for admitted students to visit?

Got an acceptance letter in the mail this morning ahhh...I went complete on 11/21 and my letter is dated 12/22 - GPA 3.89 and applied with GRE scores only. My GRE scores are AWFUL so I guess I’m proof that they really consider more than the standardized tests. Extraordianry softs definitely helped me

I'm getting suspicious ... Applied mid October, interviewed 11/24 and haven't heard anything + ASW is not working. I'd rather just get my rejection than be sitting in this limbo.

For those of you who got in with the wave of 12/22 letters, have you tried getting into admitted students? has it worked?

Hi all! Huge congrats to those already in. Keeping my fingers crossed over here!
Forgive me if I missed someone addressing this earlier in the thread, but for those who have had group interviews this cycle, what were they like? Was the vibe relaxed? Did they ask a lot of questions, or rely on us to ask the questions?
On a similar note- I signed up for the January 3rd interview in Boston, and was told I'd get a confirmation email with further info within two days before that, but as of today I haven't heard any emails back. Is anyone else in the same boat?
