Top Law Schools

Just applied to Quinnipiac and noticed there wasn't a thread for it, so I decided to make one! Anyone else applying?

22% employment at graduation.

In at QU with almost full scholarship. Conditions are quite heavy though(top 50% for full renewal, 75% for quarter renewal). Anyone else hear back?

Where did you find this stat? ABA employment report for 2015 shows 57/113 (>50%) employed in full time long term bar passage required positions.

Also applied to QU as it's my home state but would love to know where to seek clearer info than ABA stats for employment.

Lawschooltransparency. The 22% refers to jobs that require a JD, not any job more generally.

LST also gives 50.4% for jobs requiring a JD so not sure where 22% is coming from?

Just received an email saying I'm a finalist for a full tuition scholarship! I'm already close to a full ride but this scholarship would only require me to be top 75% while the other one is top 50%. Any other finalist's on here?

Was given full tuition but they didn't tell me I was a finalist before hand. Maybe two separate programs?

I think so, what were the stips for yours? You had the choice to apply on the application, so if you didn't fill out the essay you weren't considered I'm assuming. If you're stip free you're probably already in a better place even if you're a few grand short. There's also a 1,500 a year stipend. I basically have a full ride already but the main thing I care about is getting to 75% from 50% rather than saving the 2k extra or so a year I'd have to pay otherwise. Sorry for taking such a long time to respond for some reason I just never saw you replied to my post.

Actually that's the program! 1500 stipend but I got an email saying I'm a finalist recently even though when the dean called he literally said 'I would like to offer you the Deans Fellow'. QU isn't my top choice but it's good to have options

Congratulations! Same here in regards to QU not being my top choice but still being an option further down on my list. If I don't get the Dean's Fellow's though it's off my list because it's impossible IMO to justify a 50% stipulation when if I don't get the scholly renewed I could have just went to UCONN with my not so great scholly and incurred slightly less debt and better employment opportunities. The 75% makes it a good deal more tempting.
