Under review since 11/3, too. Historically, they make some first round decisions every year before leaving for the holidays, so it should be sometime this week.

In via email! Looks like they're finally accepting people.
Scholarship info no later than 2/5/17.
In their email they say - "if you receive an offer you believe might be relevant to our scholarship plan discernment, please forward a copy directly" - I take this as an invitation to tell them in advance what competitive offers you've got, does that sound right?

It looks like they want us to send in our other scholarship offers so they can match/be competitive from the get-go rather than have to play games after.

yeah, exactly what i thought - this is smart and seems like a reasonable thing to do if you're not releasing any scholarship info until early 2017

I was also a September applicant. So maybe they are working backwards. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks though, this is reassuring.

Congrats everyone!
Current 2L, let me know if you have any questions, an alum did the same for me and helped me out a lot, so I'll try to do the same. I'm not on here much, so probably best if you PM me.

Just got an e-mail about financial aid that I was hoping might have a scholarship offer, but no dice. Just a nice and thorough e-mail about paying for law school. Doh.

Hi there,
Thanks for offering to take questions! I recently got accepted to just have a couple.
1.) What have job prospects been like for you and your classmates? I'm from WV and hope to break into a more urban market. I would love to live in Charlotte, but I've heard it can be extremely insular. I've heard if you don't have ties to the city, getting legal employment can be quite challenging. I've also heard out-of-state students have not faired well at OCI. So, outside of Charlotte, have students been able to find positions in other major mid atlantic markets like DC or NYC?
2.) I'm visiting January 20th and want to explore a few different housing options. Are there any specific complexes you recommend checking out?

1. Job prospects seem to be improving each year, although any evidence I have is anecdotal. I'm going into criminal/PI, so I'm on a bit of a different timeline than everyone else. I won't hear back until the summer during bar study most likely. However, all of my friends in my major friend group have accepted offers in firms or clerkships. I'll tell you a secret -- no one fairs well at OCI, at least not for post-graduate employment. For your 1L and 2L summers, it's much easier. However, I know plenty of people not from NC get offers in Charlotte for post-graduate employment. For NYC, it's much harder, obviously. I only know of a few people who want to venture that far north and go to Wake. DC is a bit easier -- Wake has a strong presence with DC judges (a less strong presence in DC firms) that you can definitely take advantage of. Honestly, the harder you work, the better your chances in whichever city you choose.
2. Jan 20 is my birthday! I would check out the Crowne properties. If you want a bit of a cheaper option, Alaris Village and Crystal Lakes (I hope that's the name) are okay. If you're looking for something more swanky, the lofts downtown are pretty great, but cost a bit more. I live in Crowne Polo (I think Shiro does too) in a spacious 2/2 with a room mate and I pay 467 per month. It's really unbeatable for the area and the quality.
