I figured we could use a Hastings thread. Here are last year's admissions stats.

Went into review 12/7/16. RD.

I read UC Hastings July 2016 First time bar passage rate was 51%

1L at Hastings here, if anyone has any questions.

Did anyone else do Early Admissions? We were supposed to hear back from them on 12/20 and I have yet to hear from them.

I applied mainly bc my mom went here and she was v into the idea of me going as well Still in review I'm not sure if anyone has heard back yet tbh.

"Application In Review" since 12/15.

Hi All. I submitted on 12/08, application in review on 12/15. No change in status checker since then.

A look at the UC Hastings page over at LSN reveals that not a single applicant to Hastings on LSN has posted any decisions--everyone is still pending :/

Anybody hear anything remotely promising?

Considering how late everything's been this cycle, I'm not too surprised that decisions haven't come out yet. I remember the Hastings admissions rep at my school's law school fair said decisions usually come out 6-8 weeks (I think?), and I'm guessing that's after you go under review. Fingers crossed we'll get word this month! lol I've been under review since 12/6.

Been under review since December too.
Seems a little strange that zero decisions have have released but maybe Hastings is trying to take their admits more seriously after their Bar results? Lots of Hastings graduates I've talked to near me either have to retake or know a classmate who has to retake.

Going off the Law School Numbers applicant charts, this is the longest turnaround on decisions since at least 2003. Every year on their site has Hastings rendering at least a few decisions in December. Historically, they seem to kick into high gear around mid-January. I'm really crossing my fingers that we will start to see some movement next week.

I know of somebody who has already heard back. She was accepted but possible early decision?
