my numbers are median and i did really poor on the video online interview?

so am i pretty much dinged? did my chances plummet?

None of us can say for sure, but for what it's worth, I thought I bungled my Cornell interview pretty badly, and still managed to get in. Stats were above median, granted, but the point is, a bad interview shouldn't necessarily sink you. Perhaps the adcomms will like your essays; perhaps the people who interviewed before and after you bombed their interviews even worse, and made you look great by comparison. Keep your head up high!

Don't think there is anyway we can give you a concrete answer - it sounds like it obviously didn't help, but we can't speculate as to how whoever reviews your app would read it.

Wait it out and hope for the best.

What do you mean you did poorly? You said the wrong things or did you get cut off?

Just a question: Why didn't you elect to do an off-campus alumni interview? Those are SUPER casual and it's much harder to bomb when you get a face-to-face.

was kind of nervous and thrown off my the platform...i basically stuttered a lot and gave a really non-articulate barely cogent answer for about 3 of the 6 questions.

I had a Skype interview for another school last week and one thing I definitely noticed was a lot of video lagging. So it might be that your stuttering was downplayed because of technology problems.

Also so what if you got nervous? It happens. You have other things going for you which is probably why they interviewed you. The interview won't destroy your chances.

FWIW, a lot of people felt that they did badly because of the online interview system, so even if you think you've bombed it, chances are your interview is average compared to others, and it wouldn't put your application at a disadvantage.
