Re: Emory Law c/o 2020 (2016-2017)
Hey guys,
In today via email. highest LSAT of 167 and superior evaluation. Got 144 k. So quite excited. ! No woodruff though.
Anyone has any idea about travel stipends for ASW and need based schol at Emory? (Would want to cover full tuition with the need based aid)

I don't think they reimburse flights (might be different for international candidates, I'm not sure) but they do pay for 1 night at the hotel they reservedBEng,MBA,FRM,JD(?) wrote:Hey guys,

And it's way cheaper for them to reimburse one night of their own hotel rather than handing out the $250-300 stipends that a lot of other schools docharles117 wrote:well I mean its their own university hotel so it doesnt cost them that much...floatie wrote:I don't think they reimburse flights (might be different for international candidates, I'm not sure) but they do pay for 1 night at the hotel they reservedBEng,MBA,FRM,JD(?) wrote:Hey guys,

I'm just presenting the facts, I'm not claiming that Emory's offer is a good deal or anything.BarMan wrote:And it's way cheaper for them to reimburse one night of their own hotel rather than handing out the $250-300 stipends that a lot of other schools docharles117 wrote:well I mean its their own university hotel so it doesnt cost them that much...floatie wrote:I don't think they reimburse flights (might be different for international candidates, I'm not sure) but they do pay for 1 night at the hotel they reservedBEng,MBA,FRM,JD(?) wrote:Hey guys,

I applied 1/16 and got the email saying my app was complete on 1/17. This may be the only school that I applied where I wasn't either a reverse splitter or over both 75th percentiles- ha! (161/3.85)

I applied very early in the cycle, and I'm still waiting. Anyone in the same boat? I'm starting to get concerned, but it doesn't seem like anyone has been dinged or WLed yet...

Anyone know how they notify rejections? Is it via snail mail or do they email you?
Thanks!

Just got an email saying: "Thank you for applying to Emory Law. Your application is currently in review. I know you've been waiting patiently. We will provide you with an initial decision at the end of March. We appreciate your continued patience as we provide a comprehensive and deliberate evaluation of your file. In the meantime, I wanted to send along information about what’s happening here in the Emory Law community."
Anyone else?
