University of Utah c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Submitted 11/21, complete 11/22. Anyone else apply/know what to expect in terms of waiting time? My status checker states, "Your application is complete. You will be notified by mail when a decision has been rendered." So, I'm assuming there isn't going to be anymore movement on the status checker.
c/o 2019 Stats
LSAT median: 158
25th-75th percentile range: 155-161
GPA median: 3.58

Well, I just checked last cycle on LSN and it seems like decisions weren't released until January. So, I guess I can stop anxiously checking my mailbox/status checker.

Applied 12/1, Complete 12/2. My staus has read "Your application is complete. You will be notified by mail when a decision has been rendered." since then. From what I've gathered the admissions committee won't render decisions until January, but I could be mistaken.

Yup, that's what I noticed also-- so I guess we'll just have to update when we get our snail mail. Are you apply to any other schools in Utah (aka BYU)?chili_davis wrote:Applied 12/1, Complete 12/2. No other schools in Utah. Colorado-Boulder, UC-Davis, USC, Oregon, Lewis & Clark. Submitted the majority of my apps around Dec. 1st, so no decisions as of yet. Nice.. lol pretty much like all around the US. I live in UT now so I applied to Utah and BYU, I'm from FL so I've applied to UM, FSU, UF.. I also applied to CU, GW, BU, BC, Emory, GULC, Loyola Chicago, UNC... lol there's more (i have the LSAC fee waiver) those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I figured I might as well cast a large net. I have been thinking of applying to some schools in Oregon also..

Applied before Thanksgiving, went complete 11/28. It's an expensive school for non-residents, but I'd really like to go. My dad is a S.J. Quinney grad and his love for the school is what convinced me to apply. Here's hoping the news is positive when it comes.

Yea I seriously hate that the status checker doesn't change after going complete! I've been complete for over a month now and I have no idea what to expect in terms of when that letter will come in the mail. Should be January though (according to past years on LSN).theorangewon wrote:Submitted a couple days ago on the 3rd. Here's to playing the waiting game.

I could have received some bad information, but the individual I spoke with at the admissions office said our status will change to "under review." Personally, my status has shown complete for nearly a month now with no movement. Anyone else hear different? Showing "under review?"smashbash wrote:Yea I seriously hate that the status checker doesn't change after going complete! Oh, you may be right... the reason I assumed it wouldn't change is because on the top of my status checker, after my app when complete, it said something like "your application is complete. You'll receive a decision in the mail."chili_davis wrote:I could have received some bad information, but the individual I spoke with at the admissions office said our status will change to "under review." In! Letter came in the mail today (postmarked Jan. 5), small envelope which had me sweating till I opened it. Considering they say they don't start reviewing till January, it's a mercifully quick turnaround.

Submitted before thanksgiving, went complete 11/28. No staus change on the website, so was very surprised to find the letter waiting at home. Good luck!smashbash wrote:Did your status change? Yeah mine welcomed me to the "Class of 2019". So either it was a silly mistake that nobody caught or my letter from last cycle was a bit delayed.smow4029 wrote:In! I don't believe so, I got a letter in the mail a few days ago but didn't see that anything had changed online.

Did he tell you that the $$ info is coming in March? I missed the call from him and haven't been able to connect - I had wanted to briefly chat about the school and find out about the process going forward.onecallthats all wrote:Checking in! If you give him a call back he will return your call. He'll give you the whole spiel when he calls. (I was too excited to ask anything at the time so he just told me everything he thought I needed to know.) He said we'd be receiving the admissions letter with details on going forward in the mail on Monday or Tuesday. $$ info coming in March. Also, gives you login info to immediately check out the admitted student website.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
