...without actually applying?

I got an email today telling me that my application to a Graduate program of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities went complete. I never applied to any programs at Northeastern. The only explanation I can think of is that it is supposed to be an email from Northeastern Law to promote their school to prospective law candidates but the wrong form email was sent.

I am curious if any other people here got the same email.

Just saw a law school classmate of mine (c/o 16) post on FB that they also received this. I think it's a phishing scam

That thought crossed my mind as well: you are complete, accepted, and then they steal your credit card info when you "deposit."
