Has anyone who has applied Early Decision received an answer yet?

Thelaw23 wrote:How are you PI guys planning on paying off your debts in T14? It just seems crazy to me.

There are a lot of things I rather do than biglaw, but it just seems impossible with the student debt I would probably be graduating with.

LRAP does not seem substantial at all. You're still paying it off and living under debt for a long time.

Meanwhile, my own pride won't let me take a prospective full ride at a non-T14. You only get one shot with your chosen career education.
As someone planning to go into PI, I'm struggling with this myself. Luckily for me, my parents are helping me pay for part of school (they said that no matter where I choose to go, they will pay 50% of tuition, after any scholarships I receive). I'm also married and my husband has a pretty great job (works in the corporate world), so my living expenses should be covered with his salary. I realize this is all just my own privilege, though, and not the average student's situation! Despite all this help, too, I don't know if I could go somewhere paying full price (except maybe Harvard or Stanford, but I haven't thought too much about that.

Just got in (RD). Letter was dated 24 Oct. Didn't really expect a yes. Kinda cool.

Has anyone who went complete close to mid October been accepted yet? It's probably neurotic for me to even be hoping for fun things in the mail in the next week right?

Have yet to receive anything in the mail, but status checker requirements changed to "Official Final Undergraduate Transcript" and "Certification Form". Anyone know if this means anything?

Don't know about Gtown but that's how I figured out my UVA acceptance was it changed to needing a final transcript

Minnesota (that's where the letter went, I'm actually in Italy, long story). I went complete on 16 Sep, btw.

Numbers?

2.93/168. GPA is from a service academy and the relevant soft is a bunch of time as a military officer.

Applying ED leaves you with no, or extremely limited, ability to negotiate for scholarship dollars. If money is NO issue, and you want to send a strong signal that Georgetown is the only place you want to be, then my opinion is go for ED. If you don't want to pay full price then apply RD.

Does everyone who applies get invited to an interview? Or should an interview invite be taken as a "good sign"?

Another member and I were both invited and we were under the impression that it was due to YP reasons. GPA a bit higher than their 25th, LSAT>75th by a good amount.

In NYC they're interviewing in the Skadden Arps building though. Hype.
