I got in off the waitlist today too. I did not receive any email about a scholarship, does it usually come in the box or am I waiting for nothing? I was going to wait to negotiate until the package came in but if there's no scholarship info in it then I don't see why I should wait.

Is everyone that got in off waitlist today above median on LSAT? Jw because I am waitlisted and have high GPA and extracurrics but just an ok LSAT...wondering if they were pulling to get their LSAT average up on this batch.

Anyone sort living arrangements out or current students here to point me in the right direction?

It was exactly this time last year when the UF 2019 thread died.
It doesn't seem like this thread has much life left either.

I think there needs to be more movement from the top schools for UF WLs to get admitted. This includes the T14s and T20s because it domino effects down to us.jcapp wrote:Any new waitlist admits?

I'm taking the June LSAT and they just put me on "hold" until my June lsat comes out. But they said I could ask for a decision based on my current score. I'm currently waitlisted.

Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I honestly think their seats are filled up with deposits, and have been for some time now, but some of those seats are safety seat deposits and the staff knows it, thus explaining the huge WL and lack of movement. I know for sure if UF accepts me, I'm going to withdraw from places I deposited at. Some people are in the same position as me, except UF *is* their safety deposit seat (lucky them). Don't lose hope guys. UF said most of their decisions will be done by this Friday and the next seat deposit is on the 15th.MOLaw wrote:Hoping for some movement today or tomorrow

Corrction: they told me they will be done with decisions this Friday but their next seat deposit is still unconfirmed.brownellewoods wrote:I honestly think their seats are filled up with deposits, and have been for some time now, but some of those seats are safety seat deposits and the staff knows it, thus explaining the huge WL and lack of movement. Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Someone on reddit just said they were waitlisted, so there may be another WL wave today. I think you're right about their seats being full, especially since they're waitlisting people almost halfway through May. I withdrew my app with $ a few days ago, so hopefully it goes to one of you guys!brownellewoods wrote:Corrction: they told me they will be done with decisions this Friday but their next seat deposit is still unconfirmed.brownellewoods wrote:I honestly think their seats are filled up with deposits, and have been for some time now, but some of those seats are safety seat deposits and the staff knows it, thus explaining the huge WL and lack of movement. Call me naive, but I didn't know some people had seat deposits at more than one school.I always assumed the schools would find out somehow

Although UF has continuously disappointed me, I'm still hoping there is some huge decision wave tonight for all applicants, even the WL.

Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I'm pretty sure they can find out but not sure if it matters from these 2 different approaches. When I did my UF deposit it did specifically say I was supposed to withdraw all applications and not have any other deposits and I think it said no new apps etc. But then Emory sends this at the end of March (I was already accepted) so I'm not sure if it matters? "Deposit Reimbursement – Our first tuition deposit is due April 17. If you decide to pay a non-refundable deposit at one other school whose deadline is before ours, we will reimburse you for that deposit (up to $500) if you matriculate with us this fall. The reimbursement will occur as a credit to your student account in fall 2017. Please contact me for more details."dee1294 wrote:Call me naive, but I didn't know some people had seat deposits at more than one school.I always assumed the schools would find out somehow

My deposit is due today but I'm still waiting to hear back about scholarship negotiations. Should I wait it out or call?
