Are HLS interviewing more than 1200 this year? Asking as - anecdotally - a lot of people with low numbers seem to have got JS1/some people have been interviewed by HLS alumnus rather than a member of the admissions team mentioned on the website. Is this normal?

Who?
There's an interviewer who recently graduated from HLS. But she works in the admission.

whoops, you're right - a friend of mine said they had been interviewed a few weeks ago by a recent alumnus - I misinterpreted their comment

I know the next step after an interview is to pass it on to a faculty reader....then it goes to the admissions committee... then decision.

curious about this as well

OK Harvard, it's February. The Super Bowl is over, so you can't say you're preparing for your party. It's time to start unleashing some waves, and quickly. I figure it's about time we quit looking at each other lustfully from across the bar and actually move in for the kiss. You're killing me here, Harvard. I've had enough of wondering if my KJD status is going to tank me.

Please just admit me already.

Should I send HLS a LOCI congratulating them on the patriots and Tom Brady's 5th super bowl ring? ;)

Anyone else apply mid-late Jan and still waiting for a JS1? If I haven't heard yet is that a bad sign or a medium sign...

Went complete on 11/30 and haven't heard anything. Should I just assume I didn't get in?

Yup! But I think we still have a while to wait...seems like others have been waiting longer.

So I went complete in like late nov early dec and I got a JS1 late Jan (fwiw, I'm a splitter, so I expected a longer wait if I was going to get one at all). Unless your numbers are stellar (as in way above both 75ths, in which case you might get a JS1 in like a month or so like a couple of my friends), not having any news right now is totally normal.

Good to know, I'm a bit of a splitter too so I guess I'll just have to try and not let the anxiety drive me insane by march... Congrats on the JS1!!

Would a JS2 ever be an unknown or blocked number? Or is it always a 617?

Complete since 10/26 and no JS1, so y'all getting jittery about your January applications, settle down.
