I got my job at DPW through NY OCI. I had interviews with four other NYC Big Law firms at a similar tier to DPW through interviews at the NY OCI (W&L hosts them in NYC, DC, and other places). I also had an interview at another NYC OCI firm through a resume drop/alumni connection. I did not send resumes to all of the firms screening at OCI. So yes, big law firms come to W&L OCI.

Also, W&L requires students to do practice interviews (or at least they did when I was there). A lot of students complain about having to do it, but it is good to practice to ease your nerves and you get constructive feedback. Plus, if you can't interview well, OCI isn't going to be fun regardless of what school you go to.

When and how do people plan on starting to look for housing? Looks like W&L recommends physically going and looking for a place. How soon is everyone going to be looking for roommates, etc.?

Hey! I'm an incoming 1L as well! I just went last week to look around for housing. There are some places available, but I was told that current tenants have 60 days to let landlords know if they will be continuing their lease or not, so most properties are listed in May/June! Hope this helps!

Did anyone still waiting on a decision see movement today? It looked like there was an acceptance today on LSN...not that I'm obsessively checking or anything.

Did you just send an e-mail or is there a form? If e-mail, who did you send it to? An increase could sway me from GW...

Did everyone get their merit scholarship info in the same envelope as their acceptance letter? If so, did any vets only get a letter about yellow ribbon and no merit award? I am concerned that they are not considering me for merit $ because I checked the yellow ribbon box on the application. I will probably contact them next week, but thought someone else might have similar experience. For what its worth, i am a splitter, but others on lsn with similar numbers have been getting 110k to 120k regularly.

Edit: also worth noting, i am not seeing any $ in status checker...does this mean no award?

Waitlisted :/ Actually a bit nonplussed by this one, I'm in a sea of green on LSN (160/3.3) and go to the best school in the state.
I think I'm probably more likely than not to get in, but coming off the waitlist, I would probably get little/no money, correct? Because they are almost certainly outside my price range if so.

Your stat is decent for getting the offer. Did you apply late ? Students who are accepted from the WL still usually get the scholly ($ or $$) because W&L is very generous. I think you have a good shot of getting off the WL. You should contact to the admission office since they are sincerely about your chance of getting off the WL . :D

You should contact to the W&L admission office. I supposed you applied late for this cycle and they are still progressing your $ scholly. What's your stats?

Yeah I did. Considering law school was a super last minute thing for me, took the LSAT in February for the first time. Thanks, good to know. Guess I'll join the wait list. I think I'm going to retake the LSAT in June (I was both an emotional wreck and sick when I took it the first time, and as a result studied not at all), hopefully will do better second time around/can resubmit score to waitlisted schools.
