Y'all, again -- please consider making an admitted students thread to discuss this (awesome) stuff.
Try to remember what it's like to be waiting (perhaps with a measure of agony) for a decision and have a lil sympathy for your homies who are still waiting. I've certainly been trying to follow my own advice in the app threads of places where I've been accepted.

Has anyone been dinged yet? I'm waiting for mine to come so I can move on with my life and plan my law school visits in peace.

Congrats to those admitted? If you don't mind sharing, what were your application/complete dates?
Also, how big of a wave is this looking like? What is the FB group total + invited looking like now? Thanks!

Today there are 131 in group, 43 invited.
Therefore, we can assume the wave was ~11 people.

Submitted 11/15. Complete 11/22. 75% > GPA & LSAT > 50%.

It's pretty clear that the Yale adcom (i.e., Asha) does not like to receive unsolicited emails from candidates, let alone reply to them.
However ... I submitted 2/12, still not complete as of today, 2/28. More than two weeks. Should I worry? Email them/her? Or chillax, this is all very normal?

I think it took me about a month and a half to go complete. As in, I got a "Complete" email after a long time and I was surprised to realize I wasn't even complete by then! I wouldn't worry about it.Gabriel_is_Satan wrote:It's pretty clear that the Yale adcom (i.e., Asha) does not like to receive unsolicited emails from candidates, let alone reply to them.

I'd wait. FYI, it took about a month for my app to go complete.Gabriel_is_Satan wrote:It's pretty clear that the Yale adcom (i.e., Asha) does not like to receive unsolicited emails from candidates, let alone reply to them.

Thanks for the lightning-fast answers! And wow. A month for one and a month and a half for the other. Okaaaaaay. This will not improve my mental health, but I guess the answer is clear, I'll just have to wait and go do something productive .badgalriri9 wrote:

Thank you for articulating my worry over being in the same boat and thank you everyone else for assuring us that this is normal. My anxiety is through the roof on all fronts anywayGabriel_is_Satan wrote:It's pretty clear that the Yale adcom (i.e., Asha) does not like to receive unsolicited emails from candidates, let alone reply to them.

If you have a scholarship deadline response, I know that you can send them an email and they will try to expedite the decision processSweetTort wrote:I'm a Feb applicantPozzo wrote:Hey broseph. Mmmmh. No. You can email, but it won't speed up the process itself, just how fast they email you once they know. They don't like receiving emails though. Furthermore, Asha is very adamant on the fact that you shouldn't be forced by anyone to be making any decisions before April 1st anyway. So email if you want, but it won't get much done, and might work against you (just a little).dinan15 wrote: If you have a scholarship deadline response, I know that you can send them an email and they will try to expedite the decision process

Disagree. An email cannot work against you and *can* help in getting a quicker financial aid notification. I would 100% email them if you are an admitted yale student, have a competing scholarship offer, and would like to hear back from Yale re financial aid ASAP.Gabriel_is_Satan wrote:Mmmmh. From the second link: "If you are facing a looming financial aid or scholarship deadline (and schools ethically shouldn't be giving you these before April 1), you can email us at admissions.law@yale.edu with your name, LSAC number, the scholarship, and the deadline, and we will make a note of it. While we cannot expedite a review of your application, we can make sure you receive a notification as fast as possible once a decision is made, or at least give you a time frame in which you can expect a decision, so that you can ask for an extension of the deadline, if possible."
